Well i guess, most of issues about the mechanics were already clearified long ago. For D&D Beyond well is still a "preview" and already they got a lot of feedback.
There's now content in all the threads, whereas the community was quick to get their voice about concerning these topics upon launch. I would believe that members are now taking their time to sift through the information and read about other players' concerns. I've noticed a decrease in new threads, but more quality responses to existing threads. In the end, this will provide a much better community for us all.
I think that the post BadEye made addressing the most common issues that testers were having helped streamline the testing process as far as digging deeper into the site. They were made aware, and like the good Mod's they are, got back to us very quickly. Examples of the kind of communication we have seen from them so far will help to make sure that this site hits most of the users wants and needs for the purposes of efficiency and content. Patience is a virtue.
Sure, but there really isn't much else to do yet. This was like a soft opening - just sampling a few of the menu items. There's a good potential to have a fun community here, but there's really nothing to keep us here at the moment. The site content is what it is until we get some updates. Being limited to the SRD, there just really isn't much value other than testing currently.
A note on this - we have certainly received great feedback for this early phase of beta and we are working through that.
These forums will undoubtedly become more active as each phase is released, and once we launch and have regular updates, news, editorials, and other content, I'm sure activity will continue to thrive.
We're happy such a large community sprang to life so quickly - there will be much more to keep that community engaged as we get to launch.

Agreed. Arguably the official D&D forum is the best thing for this game.
Going past the need for Beta feedback, post may indeed settle, somewhat - ... unlike Enworld, where response is driven by the latest in D&D, and other, news. http://www.enworld.org
My question is: Do the forums here represent an 'official' WoTC re-entry into supporting forums, which recently was announced by WoTC as their intent? I would have thought no, but... who knows?
I'm enjoying this forum, partially due to its activity - but enjoy the focus on Worlds at the Piazza. (Eberron's Keith Baker even post in the Eberron forums there.)
Obviously I can't speak for WotC but honestly I would say I think so! I think their standpoint isn't supporting forums so much as gathering players centrally to permit discussion and conversation. From the compendium to the tools yet to be released to the online support, and forums, it really seems like WotC wants this to be a one stop shop for D&D
Can you give us any details about time frame for the future phases and when they will be? After reading through the character sheet mega thread, I am left wondering how many of these ideas are ones already in, or will be in the character sheets.
If a quarter-million people tried to use the Forums during a Beta, I think the host servers would melt.
Both websites have pros and cons. Both websites use different posting formats. There's going to be overlap in the subscriberbase. And there's nothing wrong with that.

Anybody else notice there's a lot less posting?
Yeah I have noticed.

...that and the title race has slowed. ; )

Right I get that haha :D my hope is that a lot of the 10 million D&D subreddits move to DnDB

Things will pick up, unless the tools suck. >:]
Seeing how its open beta, do we know how many people have signed up?
Go here, scroll down to the bottom, and you'll see how many members there are on the bottom right. It could be an indication.

Can't quite talk about these plans yet, but clarification will come by this summer.
It would be awesome if these third party tools could just leverage our subscription content purchased through here to gain access.
We pay WoTC for the content and roll20/fantasy grounds for their tools.
Hello all!
I'm new to the beta and am enjoying the forums so far. The site seems pretty cool, i'm excited for the next phases and future development!

I am betting as new phases roll out and new shiny things are added it will get more lively around here.
