If I click on edit post, and then I change my mind, I can't cancel out of it. A workaround is to just close the tab, but most forums allow me to back out of editing without saving any changes.
Being able to delete your own posts is iffy... I can see if it's time-limited (like you have 20 minutes or 60 minutes or something to delete your own post, but after that you can't). This way it can't be abused by people who ragequit to remove constructive things that they've previously contributed and leave their threads in a general state of disarray. Unrestricted self-deletion just seems like it'd lead to too much trouble.
+1 to being able to cancel out of editing posts though, I've been missing that as well.
Whilst I appreciate that a delete button would be convenient, I'm afraid it's not going to be implemented any time soon.
I recommend you report your own post under 'Other' to have us moderators see it as soon as possible and delete it for you. A simple 'please delete' would do for the report's content.

My 5e Houserule Considerations. Please comment freely.
Great point to raise, I've had the same trouble. I usually just refresh the page but it is still less convenient.

You can report it and request it to be deleted. :)
Welcome to the first post club. We've been wondering when you'd leave the games forum and get that #1 post.

I would still like a delete button

Canceling out is fine. I don't mind not being able to delete because, well, I can edit!

also i was a bit confused with the jump to forum button because the go button is not visible at first
So it does! Appears it happened faster than expected.
