Was prepping a character for AL and noticed this too. I chose Law as my Divine Soul affinity, Bless shows up in the Spells tab on the character sheet, but if you click "Manage Spells" it's not listed under Spells Known anywhere (in the builder or on the character sheet). The only way I've seen to swap it out is to actually go in and change the affinity in the builder, but that only changes it to the spell for the new affinity (like you can change it to Good and get Cure Wounds, but can never replace it with another cleric spell of any level like you can any other spell).
So yeah...almost a year and a half now and still not fixed.
I don't think it's going to get fixed until a major overhaul occurs. It's not actually part of the spell list, but instead a granted spell of the subclass. Currently you'd have to make a copy of the subclass and add additional spells to the list of that subclass feature to be able to choose a new spell. In a way I can see how that happened. The actual wording of the subclass feature doesn't make much sense. If you can put any cleric spell into that slot it really should just read choose a level 1 cleric spell instead of changing it at later levels or it shouldn't even mention that option.
Could this be approached the same way Warlock spells are selected for Mystic Arcanum? Those spells are available based on certain conditions, in this case it would be level>class. After level 1, it opens up to all cleric spells by level. That logic already exists in the warlock sheet.
Based on the D&D Beyond Roadmap, it seems that there's a character builder overhaul planned (hopefully) in the near future. I wouldn't be surprised if this issue is fixed around that time. Otherwise, this is a pretty low priority issue unfortunately. As such, it may be a very long time before this gets fixed (maybe).
Cnclord, you are missing the point. The point of what all of us are saying is to convey that we feel this should be a priority. Given how long it has taken, the only information conveyed is that it not a priority or a VERY VERY low priority.
I completely agree, but unfortunately, I would imagine that something like this is considered very low priority. From what I've seen, issues that get priority are those that affect a very large amount of people (or the majority of users). In this case, this is a very specific issue that only happens if someone plays a Divine Soul Sorcerer and wants to change their Divine Magic spell.
Personally, I am also waiting for the magical ammunition bug to be fixed as it is also over 2 years old, but it seems this issue is also low priority.
Since they don't give exact timelines this issue could be fixed tomorrow or 10 years from now. It all depends on what's a priority.
For this issue in particular, you could create a homebrew Feat that contains the spell that you want and assign the feat to your character. This will allow your character to have the spell appear in the list. The old spell will be there as well, but it can simply be ignored.
My Divine Soul Sorcerer just hit level 2, and I've discovered there's no way to swap Cure Wounds for Healing Word. I guess I'll add my voice to the chorus, asking for this to be fixed.
The solution seems simple enough: Within the Class Feature editor for Divine Magic, when you pick your affinity, there just needs to be a second dropdown that lets you pick the actual spell at the same time.
I was just thinking about this thread. Yeah this is a stupidly long time for this to be waiting. I am sure that Dndbeyond has stats on who uses what how often, but if there is a broken essential class feature, that might be why people don't make divine soul sorcerers here.
The Divine magic feature for the divine soul sorcerer subclass grants you an extra cleric spell, and specifically states you can trade it out on level up like other sorcerer spells, but it has to a cleric spell. The issue is, is that on D&D beyond, I can't change the spell, I can only swap between the 5 alinement affinity spells by switching the affinity from the editor. Please get back to me, thanks.

It's been more than a year.

That would definitely work and definitely be easier!! Ok Devs, GO. ACTION. Make spell change now.
Having the same issue. I know it is low impact as has been stated, but would love to see it fixed soon.
This is still not fixed. Is there any hint for when this will be looked at?
Not at all.
In general, D&D Beyond never gives exact timelines for features and fixes. The closest you'll get is their Roadmap listed in my previous response.

As per previous posts, this issue has been logged with the development team.
I also strongly suspect that it will be picked up as part of the planned Character Builder Overhaul.

I have also merged several threads on this topic together and linked this thread for visibility of the dev team.

Love the new UA sub classes. Would be great if we had a working Divine Soul Sub-class. Coming up on two years. Pretty mad at this point.
