I have a player in my campaign who would like to swap Cure Wounds (Good align Divine Magic spell) with Healing Word. Beyond does not allow her to do so. The way it is worded, though, she should be allowed to?
In addition, choose an affinity for the source of your divine power: good, evil, law, chaos, or neutrality. You learn an additional spell based on that affinity, as shown below. It is a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn’t count against your number of sorcerer spells known. If you later replace this spell, you must replace it with a spell from the cleric spell list.
The Divine Soul Divine Magic feat has a replacability feature as you level up, and the software I am finding will not allow me to unlearn it and replace it with another cleric spell as per the class description-
You learn the cure wounds spell, but it doesn’t count against your number of sorcerer spells known. If you later replace this spell, you must replace it with a spell from the cleric spell list.
I tried it with all of the alignment philosophy selections and none of them could be unlearned and replaced.
The divine soul sorcerer, at level 1, gains access to a certain first level cleric spell based on the alignment of their deity.
Affinity
Spell
Good
cure wounds
Evil
inflict wounds
Law
bless
Chaos
bane
Neutrality
protection from evil and good
Right now, that first level spell is not appearing as a known spell.
The description of the ability also states that this spell can be swapped out for another cleric spell at higher levels. This also seems impossible to do.
Currently, as a 1st level sorcerer the character can learn only the normal 2 first level spells, and at higher levels the spells known remain consistent with the PHB sorcerer, while there should be one more spell the character can know, essentially selected from the cleric spell list.
"It is a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn’t count against your number of sorcerer spells known. If you later replace this spell, you must replace it with a spell from the cleric spell list."
The same is true for Eyes of the Dark for the Shadow Sorcerer, and I suspect every feat or class ability that grant you spells beyond your base class.
I just created a 1st level Divine Soul Sorcerer and the bonus 1st level spell showed up for me on the character sheet.
It's worth noting that you won't see this bonus spell (Cure Wounds etc) in the spell selection screen in the character builder - it is added based upon your selection of an alignment on the class page of the builder.
If you're still not able to get this to display, please can you provide a link to your character and a moderator will take a look.
Understood and confirmed that I can replicate this - the bonus spell doesn't appear in the "Known Spells" section of either the character sheet, or the builder.
The class description clearly states that it is possible to replace the bonus spell at higher levels (with the restriction of it must be a cleric spell).
The divine soul receives a spell at first level dependent on the domain that they choose. The Divine Magic class feature specifies:
You learn the cure wounds spell, but it doesn’t count against your number of sorcerer spells known. If you later replace this spell, you must replace it with a spell from the cleric spell list.
However, there is no place that allows you to change this other than by changing your domain, and this only allows you to choose from the five domain spells.
I am also having this issue. I read on some forum posts that it was meant to be fixed with the revamped character sheets, but they've come out and I still can't seem to fix this. Has anyone given official word on the subject?

Can you throw a link up to the character so we can take a look?
Thanks!

Yes it does, thanks!
I'll mark this as a bug, as I don't think it's working as intended.

I played with it some, and it looks like you can add cleric spells when leveling up but not at character creation.

Yes, the staff is aware of this issue. It will be solved.
Is this fixed yet? I’m having the same issue.

That's not the issue (if the OP and I are talking about the same issue, which I believe is the case).
The spell (divine sorcerer or shadow sorcerer or what have you) does appear on the "Spells" section of the character list.
It does not appear in the "known spells" list of the "manage" section, so it can't be removed to be replaced.

In the builder, from level 2, there is now an option to swap the affinity spell.EDIT: Needed to roll back this one. This issue needs an ad-hoc fix.
