Seems there are some permission issues to view content. I have the book and can access it with no problem. However if I try to view two equipment entries in the equipment database it comes back as a 404 error when I click on to view the page and it says I need to buy the book to access it. I can view the same items in the mobile app but not on a webpage.
In an effort to troubleshoot I have logged out and deleted my cookies and logged back in again and it produces the same result.
I don't think either of those are supposed to exist. If you use the front page search feature, they don't show up - and I have the same issue despite owning the book.

In DnD 5e, the specific rule overwrites the more generic one; if a specific rule extends the generic, then the wording indicates that, either by listing the original choices (see the Finesse weapon trait or the first benefit of the monks' Martial Arts), or by referencing them (see above example of the warlock pact of the chain). This does not do either, so it replaces the original choices instead of extending them, which makes sense - why would a feat closely tied to the school's mascot allow you to summon something totally unrelated?

How to we add the spells given from Strixhaven Initiate Feat from Background? I am trying and am making a Wizard but can't figure out how to add the spells from other classes such as Thaumaturgy and vicious Mockery and then spell from Bard or Wizard class. How do I do this

If you choose this background, you have to choose the feat manually as well.
If you have already done that, please tell us which strixhaven college you have chosen, and post a link to your character sheet.

Because we're here to have fun lol
I'm aware of the specific overrules generic etc etc. But not sure that applies here as no forms were specifically excluded. And yeah, that Pact Chain thing is similar and more specific, but do WoTC really intend their players to dig around the rulebook for similar instances in order to come to a subjective conclusion? That's pretty lame.
The wording is horrible if that's the intended meaning. The first line literally says "you can cast Find Familiar as a ritual". Find familiar explicitly allows other forms in the spell description. If they meant to exclude those other forms it should have been very clear in the subsequent wording of the feat, but it's not.
Hopefully some sage advice or errata will clear it up. Until then my first point still stands - Wild Companion should allow me to pick whatever forms I want regardless of this feat.
So weird thing. When you choose guiding bolt, using the Silverquill Wisdom option for strixhaven initiate, it casts at 9th level in the character sheet... No matter what level your character is or whether they have spell slots or not.

I'm seeing the once-per-long-rest able to be upscaled to anything from 1st to 9th level.
Edit: Wait this doesn't make sense... the spell uses both it's single use and spell slots. It should not be doing that.
The issue seems to be in how the spell level is located. It is giving me a cast at "undefinedth level" which makes it seem like the issue is its ability to locate what levels it can be cast at, or should be cast at.

It works properly for me on a test character. Would you please post a link to the character where this is happening?

Well, you are supposed to be able to use it once a day AND use spell slots for further castings if you have slots. But the buttons don’t seem to be working right when I tap them.

Oh hey, it looks like they've been fixing the Silverquill versions of the feat! Now all 3 give the 1st-level spell as a 1/LR.
If it's in a midway state on your sheet, you may need to refresh the page and change the 1st-level spell to something else and then back again to have it show up properly.

I managed to find them in the book: https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/sacoc/confronting-murgaxor#M1CentralChamber
I guess they do exist, and the mouseover works. But a lot of links in this chapter give me a 404.

It was already 1/LR, it just used a spell slot on top.
I'll be darned, yeah, it does tick a spell slot in addition to the USE. All three Silverquill versions do.
Edit: Looks like that's been fixed, spell slots aren't ticked when you USE the spell.

Yes, it's on.
And do you actually own the book or spell?
If it's shared with you through a campaign, you need the character to actually be inside the campaign.
Shared with me.
High enough lvl in sorcerer. (11)
Multi-classed, starting class Warlock.
