Yea, I for one am not quite "upset", I was a bit deflated because I thought I might be getting it. But I don't remember where I saw wording that made me unsure about if it was the bundle or just any pre-order. But I never have anyone to play with anyway, so I'm not in any big hurry. I just read lore and create characters.
Y'all need to change the link on the youtube videos promoting the book saying you'll unlock early access.
It leads straight to the digital only download and not the digital and physical version on the dnd store, which is super misleading for most customers.

There is a reason there is confusion right now.
Furthermore, the DnDBeyond interface is implying that digital only purchasers like myself have access to the content, creating further confusion. See the screenshot of my menu.
"New!" implies the book is available for me to read. If it is available to some customers and not others, then ideally the code would discriminate between the two groups and show either "New!" or "Coming Soon!" based on whether they actually have access. Failing that then some new wording, eg. "in early access for physical + digital bundle owners" would go a long way.
I have the book and can browse its content on both app and website, but the subclass is not available as a character option in the character builder. Entitlements are in sync.

It has the same text for everyone. I haven't ordered the book at all, and it says 'New!' for me too.
Hey folks, I don’t know if this is helpful, but I’m having the same experience with this as I did with the Dragonlance book: I only pre-ordered the digital version (not the digital and print bundle), and I can access the digital book now (as in, read the whole thing, not just see the contents) at the earlier bundle release date. I can’t access content in the character builder.
It’s less of a problem than just confusing. I’m not keeping track of release dates, so I didn’t realise I was seeing it early, and came here to find out why I couldn’t make a Path of the Giant barbarian.
Ahhh. Read Halfwing's earliest post in thread. Now I see why I can't access it even though I bought it today. That said - the banners are still pretty misleading
I have to say I wasn't expecting the see the content early but....
Working on my campaign I notice a rune caller sub-class and hmm cool.
Later when I hit the main page I see messages about early access. I look at sources and see some books with nothing below them a few with coming soon and one book with NEW! Oh cool, I wrongly made the assumption that I had access because when I went to the book it gave me the TOC but then directs to purchase which says I already own it.
I pre-ordered a digital copy and have been unable to access it. On the marketplace it states that "You own this" but I am unable to see or open it on dnd beyond in browser or the app. I have check my entitlement is synced and it is in my order history (payed for). Very dissatisfied with my first pre-order from Wizards.
Same situation with me. Normally the books go live 2 hours ago as of posting this, so either it’s going live later than before, or something is bugged. Bit of a bummer, as I was hoping to read it on break, but hopefully it gets resolved soon.
A bigger issue is that, supposedly if you pre-ordered a digital book you would have access to it since August 1st. Which I am not too clear on. If that is the case I wasn't able to do that either.
Early access to the book was only if you pre-ordered the digital/physical bundle via dndstore.wizards.com. Pre-ordering just the the digital version from D&D Beyond did not grant the early access
The team aims to release content targeting 7am PT / 9am CT / 10am ET / 3pm BST (UK)
Please note that D&D Beyond digital releases have targeted* 7am PT / 9am CT / 10am ET / 3pm BST and this has been the case since October last year. This is not a new development and the book is not late in it's digital release
*Obviously this is a target and is subject to change should unforeseen circumstances arise

It is being shared with me. Odd, I thought I had pre-ordered as well, but there is is, sitting in my cart, never having gone to checkout.

Still an issue. Paid for it this morning - my card was charged- clicked on the book - took me to pre-order page saying I already owned.
It's fine if I'm not getting it because I didn't order before the first day of access, but the wording is very misleading.
Hopefully somebody from the DNDB team can clarify ?????

Please work on better communication.

I thought that was only for folks who preordered the physical and digital combo, incentivizing ordering that from WotC?

Thanks for the timeframe. Used to be books went live at 11PM CT, so I was unaware of their new target time. 👍

Getting status code 500 when clicking links in the digital version. URL looks wrong.
Table of contents now/currently links to 404 pages instead of the preorder page.9 mins later, it now leads to the store listing instead of 404 pages.it’s live and readable!
