I have preordered this book from the marketplace on Aug 11. At the moment, I still cannot access it. My account entitlements are up to date. As of an hour ago, when I click on the adventure, went from saying currently owned to now showing a $1.99 reduced price and to order.
I will check again later but hope you can get this straightened out pretty quickly.
The "weird reason" is that doing a release when no one was in the office to oversee that things were going smoothly proved to be not the best approach. And expecting people to be in the office at midnight was unreasonable.
I get this and the last thing I would want is to cause employee harm, but in this day and age and as a digital copy; I personally feel there are some flaws to this argument:
Being a digital copy, any prep time can be made in advance of the release: the content headings have been readily available prior to release day to confirm that these pages are all ready to be activated.
Regarding activation time, would these not simply be automated to co-incide with a date/timestamp?
If so, then shouldn't there be some people in dev/engineering on hand (and paid accordingly) ready to address any errors that could not be identified beforehand? This is a pretty standard process in every digital platform I've worked at in the past; with some scheduled to leave work early in order to rest up and be ready for a midnight launch.
If a timestamp is set for a release, then could any retail page also not have this noted? It doesn't have to be a countdown timer... just a simple "release date/time XXXX (UTC XXXX)" notice somewhere on the page.
As a global provider, disclaimers on varying dates/times to other regions should be clearly advised. Im pretty sure there are many countries that have these noted as requirements for sale in their regions, or else can face potential consumer law infractions if enough objections are raised.
Mainly posting this for a healthy discussion: I realise you are speaking out in defense of the teams that bring us this content and the feedback you have provided so far is appreciated
Does anyone else have this issue, I purchased shattered obelisk earlier this month for 27.02, and when I try to access the content today, it's trying to charge me to additional 1.99.
I purchased the preorder for $29.99, yet it's saying I need to still purchase it for $1.99. Is there a reason for this, seeing how it's a digital preorder?
I also encountered the same problem. I have pre ordered The Shattered Obelisk for 29.9 earlier, but clicking on the content will bring me to the marketplace and then ask for an additional 1.99.

Lot of comments in this thread already stating this. They're working on it.
I pre ordered The Shattered Obelisk on September 4th for 29.99, but I am currently unable to access the resource content. Clicking on the directory will redirect me to the marketplace and prompt “you already own this”, but I am unable to access the content.
Definitely reconsidering asking for Planescape pre-order for my bday this year though. This was kind of a bad launch, considering many people had access to this weeks ago.
Thanks for working so hard on it anyway. We appreciate it.

Thanks for the update Davyd!

Apologies - I jumped the gun. I'll report back once we've gotten this fixed.
Same issue here (PO#12441501). Marketplace on website says $1.99, while the app wants me to pay full price again.
Thanks for the update!

Same here. I think they’re still rolling it out and I hope this will soon be fixed…
Edit: there’s a discussion about this in a (pinned) thread, they’re working on it.

What the fuji apple is going on? Now it's saying "I already own this" and lists the full price! It sends me to the marketplace every single time!
I can access it on the app now.

Same, sweet!
Okay...NOW we should be all set. Please let me know if you continue to experience issues.
I'm in!
Good on my end, thanks for the support and updates! Cheers!
Confirmed working on the app - was able to download. Opened incognito in Chrome and normal Chrome and both are updated and working now also. Thanks.
Finally got access.

Thank you, just unlocked for me
