Has anybody noticed that they changed the gender of Elmar Barthen and Reidoth? But if you read Dragon of Icespire Peak they did not change the gender of Barthen in that adventure...
So now Barthen's Provisions has Elmar Barthen in one adventure and Elmina Barthen in the other...
Not a huge issue, just confused as to why they changed one adventure while ignoring the other.
I noticed the treasure and developments sections are missing from The King's Quarters location at the end of Chapter 3, Cragmaw Castle Locations. I'm not sure why those were removed but in the printed book it seems like the reasoning was only for available space on the page. The treasure section certainly seems necessary since Gundren's map is among the treasure listed in the original LMOP - also it seems deserving of some treasure/rewards since this is essentially the big showdown in Cragmaw Castle. Additionally, it would have been nice to keep the doppleganger's tactics/plans listed in the developments of the original LMOP. There's also the returning war band (optional) encounter from LMOP that got cut. Certainly, it could be left for the DM to figure this stuff out but it really seems like this was cut only so the end of Cragmaw Castle would fit nicely in a two page spread in the printed book. I would have rather seen an extra spread with maybe some supporting art - perhaps of King Grol - versus dropping this arguably essential content. For a "remastered" version of the original adventure, this seems kinda sloppy. Additionally, if LMOP is being retired in a few days on dndbeyond, it is a shame that folks won't have this extra content outside of the original printed starter set.
I have noticed that there seems to be a discrepancy or miscommunication in terms of who owns and runs the Sleeping Giant Taphouse. In Lost Mines of Phandelver and later in Shattered Obelisk, it is clear that the Sleeping Giant Taphouse is owned and operated by "a surly dwarf named Grista." But in Shattered Obelisk there is a single line at the beginning under the description of the Sleeping Giant that says that it is "operated by a surly orc named Greska." These descriptions and names are very similar, and some other residents of Phandalin have been changed for Shattered Obelisk. Is Greska meant to replace Grista, or is Greska merely a barkeep at the Sleeping Giant? Greska appears nowhere else except for this one line, and Grista appears (out of nowhere if you've never read or played LMOP) in chapter 5 of Phandevler and Below: The Shattered Obelisk.
The Netherese Ring of Protection (https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/7247085-netherese-ring-of-protection) seems to be adding the +4 to bonus to saves/checks against dropping/disarming to all saves and all skills at all times (not applied situationally) when given to and attuned to a character. I'm pretty sure it is not intended to give a +4 bonus to every and all save/skill check regardless of situation.
I bought the digital copy of Phandelver/Obelisk on DnD Beyond and still can’t see the content on MAPS. When I contacted support, I was stupified at their answer, summarized here, “Sorry, it’s an Alpha, so don’t expect any help.” Well, I’m sorry, I misunderstood…I thought an Alpha means you want people to tell you when something doesn’t work so you can fix it. My mistake. I received no key for the purchase, and DnD Beyond registers the product as ‘owned’ by me. Any thoughts?

Yeah... this is kinda wild. I felt really bad that one of my players had this equipped and didn't realize their stats were so much higher and suddenly it feels like I had to nerf them to the ground since they built around having those inflated numbers a bit...

I was looking through the monsters from the book through the Encounter Builder, and noticed that the "Special Equipment" section in Nezznar the Spider's stat block within the Builder has multiple "Tooltip Not Found" sections when referring to his Spider Staff.
Moreover, the listing for Nezznar's Spider Staff on the standalone page for his stat block incorrectly links to the Legacy version of the Spider Staff (shown below with the hover-over snippet for the equipment):
Hi there, I just recently ran this adventure the other night. When someone asked about the region, I brought up the Player Version for the Phandelver Region map on the DnD Beyond Maps feature. I should have checked before sharing it on the TV, but as a few others have stated, this map has bunch of points already displayed on there like Cragmaw Castly (just without the label). It brought a few laughs with questions like "well what's that point in the forest right there?". My players were nice with it, but it does ruin some of the surprises later on in the adventure. Are there any plans to fix the map in the digital version of this source? Thanks in advance.
Published version in H2 says "If the goblins notice intruders in area H1, they open fire with their bows."
I noticed this as well when I was going over the material. The stat block linked shows weapons are a scimitar and javelin whereas the book implies they are (all) using shortbows. From what I see that's the only difference between the two is Javelin vs Shortbow. Same attack and damage just a difference in weapon range. It took me a bit to realize why they didn't match until I found this post. Thanks for that by the way! Thought I was going cross-eyed. LOL.
Any chance a mod sees this and we can possibly get a link fix so we pull up the (variant) stat block that matches what was published? (Plus the variant has nice picture to show off.)

I am still waiting on my physical copy to arrive.

+1 To AC and Save.
+4 to Save against Disarmed.
Not the +5 it gives.
