Addtional purchase options, suchs as to purchase player options, magic items, etc. Are not available. And have not been in the last 2 books either. The last book to have it is Glory of giants.
Ngl its a big purchase point for plenty of people especially players who cant afford a whole book but want at least 1 feature.
Has anyone said why these last 3 books dont have that option.
Both The Shattered Obelisk and Planescape had individual, so most likely an oversit.
Yeah i double checked the other ones. And you are right they do have it.
Im guessing with all the issues they have been having with this books release. It might just be that. Hopefully they fix it soon
Hopefully. There hasn't really been anything interesting for me in the last few books (last thing I found interesting and worth getting was lunar sorcerer). If they are going to make us buy the whole book to get access to magic items and the spells, I'll just go without.
It's possible that, in light of the unprecedentedly-high amount of options in this book that aren't supported by the website, they opted not to sell piecemeal options. If they were going to sell them piecemeal, they'd likely need to go through and manually disable those options that aren't supported. (Since it's bad enough to buy the whole book and have so much of it "not work," but it would be way worse to buy just a single option and then still be forced to work around it yourself because it's not officially supported). They may have simply decided it would require more effort than it's worth, and opted instead to just disable piecemeal content for this book.
This is all speculative, mind you. I feel like it makes sense, but it's not been communicated so we're all just guessing here.
So can I be reminded how to cancel what was supposed to be my pre-order? The product is now out, I have still not received anything and the whole thing is still Pending. Frankly, after this experience, I doubt I will preorder anything ever again considering how poorly this was handled.
Also, can anyone who has the product confirm if it actually comes with all that was advertised? As previously it was suggested that DDB left out key information.
I pre-ordered my physical copy back in August and the delayed announcement mentioned it arriving today, but it hasn't arrived today. Any updates regarding extended delay reasonings?

The Book of Many doesn't show up anywhere in the hamburger menu for me on mobile device. I jave already cleared my browsers cache and I'm on an android phone.
Individual items are not available for purchase on Book of Many Things. This will not affect your previous purchases. You will still be able to make a la carte purchases for all products that have always had a la carte purchasing.
We do not have additional information to provide at this time. When we know more, we'll post it here.

Shouldn't there also be crossbow versions of the Glimmering Moonbow and Bow of Melodies? It says any bow can be a Glimmering Moonbow or a Bow of Melodies , shouldn't include all the different crossbows as well? For example the Dragon Wing Bow from Fizban's can also be any bow and has all crossbow versions it on the page

This is particularly interesting, because I observed way back on October 31st (comment #19 in this topic) that the site was trying to sell me individual items.
As I noted at the time, that's not really a "new" thing, in that the same thing occurred with Planescape. I'm guessing that for books with "early access" periods, the individual purchase options become visible on client-side the moment the early access window starts. (I did not test whether they worked, for either Planescape nor for this book.) But the point is that the individual purchase options were clearly already coded in and ready to go, and in fact were "live" (or at least visible) on client side at one point. So, for those options to not be available right now, they must have been deliberately turned off at some point between then and now.
(As I mentioned in my previous comment #118, I can understand why they might've turned these option off.)

That could be it, but at the same time I remember that there has been a history of items or character options not really functioning or not functioning well on the site. But they still allowed them to be bought piecemeal. I guess I kinda just assumed that since wotc technically owns dnd beyond now that they would be a bit more on point with either making content that functions with the site, or putting in the effort to adjust the site to accommodate for the new materials. I understand that sometimes that can be difficult; my profession is as a designer, and I understand the frustration of being asked to make changes that require you to restructure things. But at the same time, that is the job.
I don't know. I don't want to be difficult about it, but at the same time I really only buy character material on the site, and it is frustrating to finally see some new stuff put out that I'm interested in and being told that I have to buy the whole book in order to get the four or five things that I actually want from it.
I'm inclined to agree with this. To quote a small part of a much-longer screed I typed in another topic:
"Especially if WotC is set on their course of having One D&D be online-focused (with VTT, online maps, etc.), the products need to be supported for online use. History shows: the idea that "it's D&D, people will pay for it even if we cut corners or otherwise do things the fans don't like" will only hold true for so long."
ETA: Also, in this case even if you were to buy the book, you'd find that a lot of it - arguably much more than previous releases, and also much more "important" elements - just don't work anyway. That's very not ideal, of course - but in this case if your goal is to use the options in the book on this site, then buying the whole book won't necessarily help with that anyway.

if this is how its gonna be from now on I doubt I will ever purchase another thing on this site. as someone who has 0 need of the dm side of a book buying the full book is a waste

Same here, which is a shame, because I have invested a lot of money here and I don't know if there is a good alternative to dnd beyond regarding digital character sheets

There isn't because Wotc has cracked down on all of them.
I'm in the same position, I guess we wait for another book? still if they were phasing out individual purchase items, I expect we would have heard something.

The Card wasn't the same size.
The same size to what?

Oof! I'll wait then. Thanks for the response.

Is anyone else experiencing this bug?
Has WOTC said anything officially about not being able to buy individual content?

Buying the book through the mobile app isn't an option is it?

Here's hoping it's because the physical isn't out but that's not till Jan 5th so that would really suck
