Character creation: Subclass from that book, like 'mother of sorrow', can't be selected at third level with the new warlock class 2024. ( yes i have enable all content on first screen)
I ve tested some other like shadow domain cleric, same issue.
The spells in BoET seem to be available to my players even in campaigns where I’ve turned off sharing of this book. Can this be fixed?
As a short term fix for this, I’ve manually turned off Kobold Press as a source for characters in a few of my campaigns, but I’d prefer if it wasn’t being shared. Sharing of the is book off, but people can still use its spells.
Thanks for this — I was about to buy the book, but want to mix into 2024 characters. Given how few people are commenting in this thread, I won't hold my breath, but might have just saved some money. Bang goes my Plane of Shadows campaign option...
The book is nice, really, but d&d beyond lauch a product without being ready, nobody answer to my post yet, (14 days).
From what I've gathered, there's intellectual property rights issues with DDB automatically allowing these subclasses designed for 5.0 to be used with the 5.5 versions of their classes. So gotta wait for those negotiations to go through before anything happens.
Given they knew the new rules were coming when they were getting Ebon Tides ready, you might have hoped they would have factored it in and sold it as ready to go. The optics on selling this so close to the launch of the new rules are terrible.
I’m having some trouble getting the subclasses from Book of Ebon Tides to show up on D&D Beyond. I’ve got the Master Annual Subscription, bought the book, and made sure my content sync is active, but still—no luck. I even went into character creation, enabled Kobold Press content, and started a new character, but the subclasses still aren’t appearing.
I’ve gone through everything I can think of, and it’s really frustrating that it’s still not working. If anyone has any ideas or knows of a fix, I’d really appreciate the help. Thanks!

This isn't a D&D Beyond issue. The new OGL that allows creators to make content with the 2024 rules isn't out yet, and won't be out until the Monster Manual comes out. These subclasses were made with the 2014 classes in mind, and therefore support the 2014 classes. It's not a D&D Beyond issue that they don't work, but I do agree that D&D Beyond could do a bit better by saying that the classes in this book only work with the 2014 rules in terms of the character builder.
Im not sure how difficult it would be to actually implement the 2014 rules into the new ones but seeing as how even in the 2024 ruleset when you create a character, you can take old official subclasses straight off the bat but not any of the third party ones. I feel like they could easily just put them in whenever they want to.

D&D Beyond made a concerned effort to make sure the old subclasses can layer onto the 2024 classes and even then there are hiccups. Committing to support legacy 3rd party content in conjunction with official 2024 content is a bridge when the reality is 2024 stuff still isn't fully supported.

This is a signature. It was a simple signature. But it has been upgraded.

Not sure if this is right place but in Marketplace, the bundle and save discount overrides the better Halloween sale price. when both are in basket

Dice is what i live for.

Umbral binder not showing up in rogue subclass
Is it a 2014 rogue? It works for me
Order of Shadows not showing up under Druid subclass
It works in 20-4 rogue not 2024
Works in 2014 not 2024
That's how all the third party work. They don't work with 2024
Lovely. Thanks
What I've done is Homebrewed them. Just copied them over.
