Hey is artificer going to get updated to be able to take the newer versions of its current spell list.. everything is legacy or from xanathars/tashas currently?
Armor of Agathys is still listed as an Action to cast spell and the cold damage isn't raised when upcast. Hunger of Hadar damage isn't raised when upcast. Extra Attack still isn't displayed. Pact Blade box doesn't change Str/Dex to Cha.
Just checked a sheet for a 2014 Cleric character I'll be playing with tonight and when I try to manage spells from the sheet I can't see the whole list I can usually prepare from e.g. there are only 2 x 7th level spells showing, 4 x 4th level etc. Lots of spells are missing.
I don't think it's lost anything I currently have prepared but means I couldn't swap spells if we long rest in game tonight.
I have 2024 PHB, as well as 2014 PHB, so it's not that updated 2024 versions have disappeared because I've not paid for them...
Edit: just checked a 2014 Sorcerer character from another game and same issue. Go to manage spells and half the list is missing.
I ran into this and found that if I go to the Builder (click on the anvil) then in the class section there is a "Spells" tab next to "Class Features" tab. If you open that tab you should be able to choose all your spells from there.
Level 10 Divination wizard ability 'Third Eye' in the character builder it says the following.
"You can increase your powers of perception. As a Bonus Action, choose one of the following benefits, which lasts until you start a Short or Long Rest. You can’t use this feature again until you finish a Short or Long Rest."
There isn't the set of PHB 2024 character backdrops to select from on character sheet customization. I played around with different ones for my 2024 Sorcerer and then there wasn't an option to use the specific 2024 one, only 2014.
Ranger Lvl3 Primal Companion / Beast Strike Damage Calculation error (in DnD Beyond) according to new rule (PHB 2024) 1. Rule : Beast Strike - Damage Hit: 1d8+2 plus your Wisdom Modifier 2. Under Actions the die roll does not reflect the Wis modifier as it does lower down in the description, thus the roll displayed ignores it
Also, are charges now used to track your Primal Companion HP?
Custom background for 2024 character not giving options for ability score improvements.
Also: wasn't the whole point of the Tasha's ruling that you can pick any ability score improvements for your character, and now both the origin feat and ability score options are locked to the background? Creating a custom background you have to still assign an origin to copy for the feat, why not just instead put the feats to pick from? That just is extra work to get around to pick what you want.

Thanks, will give it a try. Did it then work as intended from the character sheet for you? or did you have to go to builder each time?
I have a Ranger character with 16 WIS but i cannot add the new Observant Feat from the List (character Builder and Manage Feat menu in character sheet). I does have less than 13 INT, but the prereq is an OR.
I have made some other characters but can't replicate the problem.
Pretty sure it's using the old calculation method of Int Mod + Wizard lvl instead of using the new static table. We saw this recently with a lvl 2 Wizard with a 20 Int having 7 prepared spells instead of the 4 or 5 the table showed.
I am having the same issue. Numbers look to be the same in terms of what's showing up and what's not. Would really like for the pre order bonuses to show up now that I've pre ordered.
It's probably worth saying that at least a couple of the warlock bugs I encountered yesterday - but hadn't yet reported - have already been fixed. DDB folks: thank you! I'm very impressed.
"Lessons of the First Ones" is currently in partially-supported status, so I'm managing my expectations. Interestingly, the very first time I tried selecting it yesterday, it worked as intended... and hasn't provided a "pick a feat" choice in any of my testing since. (This can be worked around on the character sheet itself by selecting Features and Traits, then Feats, then Manage Feats, then adding an Origin Feat manually.)
Only 53 of the 75 Feats in the 2024 PHB are showing up under Core Rules in the character builder. The other feats (like War Caster) are only in the Legacy section and use 2014 rules.
Also, if you use the Feats tool in the Game Rules tab and add "Core Rules" as a source category it shows all 75 - just not when trying to add them to your character sheet.
Using a 2024 core Warlock class, Legacy Summon spells from TCOE still show up on the digital character sheet spell list even if the Legacy toggle is OFF in the character preferences (I see both the 2024 version and TCOE version of the spell).
Also, I suggest adding some icon or tag in the "My Characters" section to show which character has been built using the 2014 rules and which ones have been built using the 2024 rules, or at least add the option to sort 2014 characters from 2024 ones using the "Sort by" filter.
1. 2024 Potion of Healing not available in 2014 or 2024 character sheet or in 2024 PH sourcebook (in sourcebook, lock icon appears with link to marketplace).
2. For 2014 Paladins, 2024 versions of spells not available on character sheet or character builder.
Write Your XP. Also record your Experience Points. A level 1 character has 0 XP.
That last part is incorrect as it implies a level 1 character's XP never changes. It should probably state this instead: "A level 1 character starts with 0 XP."
