When looking for monsters in the filter the free rules are not selectable when filtering sources and the only monsters that appear when filtering the 2024 Player's handbook are the Slaad Tadpole, Sphinx of Wonder and Venomous Snake. if you do not use filter all monsters show up as normal.
Hold Person spell appears to not be scaling in number of targets from either Fiendish Legacy trait or Druid base class. All levels of the spell above 2nd say "Targets: +0".
I am unable to add homebrew spells to a 2024 wizard character. The homebrew option is turned on and all other homebrew seems to be functioning.
Make sure that your homebrew spells have the new wizard selected under the classes section. New wizard and legacy wizard have separate tags to add homebrew to their spell lists, so if you want them available for both, every class should be listed twice.
The new Fey-Touched feat displays the Enchantment/Divination spell as "At Will" when it is not.
Additionally, if I select a new 2024 Background and then select Custom Background, the 2024 feat for the background I'd selected remains on my character sheet and I cannot remove it.
and when selecting the wizard scholar skill expertise it is giving me wrong selections.
According to the text it is supposed to be one of Arcana, History, Investigation, Medicine, Nature, or Religion
But is actually giving me: Arcana, Deceptions, History, Insight, Persuasion
I was going to choose investigation but the selections available are based on other skills I have chosen before this not the ones identified in the text. I am not 100% certain I havent read things incorrectly, but reporting here in case.
I have adjusted my Sorcerer, removed the Draconic Bloodlines class and enabled Draconic Sorcery. I see all the changes that come with doing that, the additional spells, etc... However, the character sheet is not updating to the new metamgaic options that have been adjusted for the 2024 ruleset; I'm still seeing the 2014 rules. Is this just an issue on my side alone or an issue for everyone that we need to live with for the time being? Thanks very much for your time...
2014 has no way to setup stats from either races or background. This is a bug because pretty much all my players that were not converted to 2024 yet had no more stats increase and all their stats changed because races/species have all lost their ability to gives stats, and activating the old legacy "customise your origin" toggle doesn't work anymore either. leaving any legacy races or basically anything that is not part of 2024 without anyway to setup stats.
this is huge because this afferct every characters sheet. it just literally changes the stats of everyone without any reason given.
my players had these... - Human fighter, lost all his +1 to every stats, no way on character sheet to get it back. only way to get it back, update to 2024 ! this is incoherent, 2024 is supposed to be backward compatible.
- tabaxy, monk, player lost 2 dexterity and 1 charisma, only way to fix it, update to 2024. again 2024 is supposed to be backward compatible.
- human variant, warlock/mage, lost 2 intellect and 1 charisma, again have to update to 2024.
worse then that, my own homebrews do not work on 2024. i can see everything on 2014, but nothing on 2024. so my real question is... 2024 is supposed to be backward compatible and WotC even gave reasons for it to be backward compatible in the very book, so why is dnd beyond forcing us to use 2024 and is forcing out 2014 ?
i think something has to give here cause right now WotC and DnDBeyond are not on the same page. you should sync up, otherwise this is getting out of hand.
TL;DR - No species gets any stats increase, not even in background unless they are 2024. - customise origin toggle is not working at all anymore. - 2014 homebrews do not work at all with 2024. they should since its supposed to be backward compatible.
just hope i dont have to redo all my work just because of 2024. i really hope for a fix on all of this, because for now, i need to rework all of my homebrew and that is not good.

I just tested with both Human and Half-Elf (the two strangest stat distributions) and have built with other legacy races already in the 2024 class rules. The stats show up in the Abilities tab, and the Human was automatically applied. The Tasha's feature to customize the stat distribution still worked with Half-Elf as well. Now, this was on a fresh character, so it's possible there's a bug when trying to convert a character that already exists, maybe during the class change step?
Homebrew is an issue of every subclass being tied to a single class. Since the system sees the 2014 and 2024 classes as separate entities, you'll have to remake any subclasses. You can remake it identically and it'll still work.
When I make a magic user at 4th level, it doesn't give me the option for the new War Caster feat, which is disappointing, considering it is in the new phb, may want to look at that

Right, and the bug is that when a Pistol is equipped on a Fighter, the proficiency bonus isn’t added.
Unless I’m missing something, Fighters should be proficient with Pistols.
Sorry I posted this as a separate topic and only just realized there is a specific topic for the PHB 2024 related issues, so cross posting here. The original thread was:

I'm sure this has been mentioned but marking a weapon as my Pact Weapon does not apply the Charisma > STR/DEX feature
