Paladin, level 2, missing some level 1 spells in character builder.
Compelled Duel
Thunderous Smite
Wrathful Smite
These are all in the 2014 PHB and I have purchased that on DDB and entitlements are in sync. Logged out/in, cleared cache and cookies. I don't know how to verify now, after the fact, that I selected 2014 Paladin when I first created this character (if that's even a thing). But I can say that the Fighting Style choices offered did not exactly match the printed 2014 PHB that I have (has Archery, missing Dueling and Protection). Have I accidentally created a 2024 Paladin and does that class lack these spells? If so, is this a "start over" situation?
You've picked the 2024 paladin by mistake. (It has those spells, but they're not in the free rules, and they've been updated, so the old ones aren't available.)
Make sure the legacy toggle is on, and scroll down further when picking your class. It is a "rebuild the character" situation, but at level 2, that shouldn't be a big deal.
It's been over two weeks since the last bugfix update. Could we get another one? It is ridiculous we have to rely on user to report when an issue has been addressed.
When a feat or class feature allows you to choose spells that belong to a specific school of magic, Homebrew spells of that particular school of magic do not show up in the list of spells (even spells that are properly 2024 tagged for class availability). The reason is that the DnD Beyond team has to manually add the spells of that specific school of magic to the feat or class feature.
Your programmers/coders should add a School of magic option menu as part of the "add spell" option of the feat or subclass builders, as well as a "Include homebrew" checkbox or the like.
The 3rd level 'Savant' feature for all wizard subclasses is adding the spells chosen as 'always prepared' rather than putting them in the spellbook like it's supposed to. Honestly, this ability shouldn't even be in the character builder as it's not very difficult to just add the spells to your spellbook yourself since you have to go in there every level, anyway.
What I am seeing is that the "Always Prepared" message appears only in the character editor when adding spells. The spell Aid shows "Always Prepared" on my Bard and on my son's Paladin when adding spells but if we don't click LEARN or PREPARE - the spell is not actually available. This appears to be a display issue in the Add Spell portion of the builder but not an actual failure of the game rules.
Devil's Sight Invocation does not provide Darkvision as it should on the character sheet
Devil's Sight does not grant Darkvision. This has been stated on this thread previously and supported by the Invocation text below:
"You can see normally in Dim Light and Darkness—both magical and nonmagical—within 120 feet of yourself."
Devil's Sight has never granted Darkvision yet it was listed on a character sheet as such before the transition to 2024 stuff. I prefer the sheet showing the incorrect Darkvision that works exactly as Darkvision but with a bonus than a blank spot in additional senses where Devil's Sight should be listed
When selecting a Core Background for PHB 2024 and you see the prompt, "Increase two score (+2/+1)" and the drop down, "Increase one of these scores by 2 and a different score by 1." Currently you can choose the same score twice, effectively starting with a 15 stat +3 to get an 18 at 1st level.

I believe this is a continued issue from the optional rules from Tasha's as well as races that came out after it. I don't think they have plans to fix that, so people will just have to police themselves.

I just checked Tasha's it says +2/+1 I also checked Spelljammer it says either +2/+1 or +1/+1/+1
I don't doubt that there is an alt rule for +3, I'm just not sure which book list it. If someone has the legacy 5e book and text, I'd like to provide it to the player.

You're correct that there's no option for a +3.
It's just that DDB has (erroneously) allowed the +3 allocation. Probably so if someone was choosing something like +1 STR and +2 CON and decided to swap those, they could directly swap the +1 to CON and +2 to STR instead of needing to assign one to a different score first as an intermediary.
IIRC half-elves in DDB can also assign their +1s to the same score too despite that being against RAW,

From Tasha's: "If you gain more than one increase, you can’t apply those increases to the same ability score, and you can’t increase a score above 20."
From PHB2024, about new backgrounds: "A background lists three of your character’s ability scores. Increase one by 2 and another one by 1, or increase all three by 1."
From PHB2024, about old backgrounds: "If you’re using a background from an older book, adjust your ability scores by increasing one score by 2 and a different one by 1, or increase three scores by 1."
All of these include text that you're not permitted to put the stats in the same score. It's just easier to create basic dropdowns than it is for the dropdowns to check what's already been selected. This is WotC being lazy, but doesn't change the rules.
i wish the great weapon master bug would get fixed and add the PB to your attacks if their idea was just to mainly add it for each attack then i find that lazy
This is likely not a bug. The bonus damage from GWM only applies when you take the Attack action - so not when you attack as part of a Magic Action, Reaction, Bonus Action, etc. If the bonus damage was factored into the weapon damage on your character sheet, it could create confusion and make players think it applied to all attacks.

Hmmm... Seems that *all* Clerics, regardless of subclass, now get Aid as an "always prepared" spell. I assume that's an error.

Seems like the Artificer spell list has finally been updated to include the 2024 spells.
However, the subclasses "always prepared" spells are still the legacy versions.

Tool tip for [Tooltip Not Found] doesn't work.
Tool tip for the cantrip Cheerful Song doesn't work.
My friend (our GM) preordered and has not yet received the product key for the digital Version of the book.
Has anyone a similar issue?

This is a signature. It was a simple signature. But it has been upgraded.

Cheerful Song isn't a spell, that's homebrew. Tooltips are funny about homebrew.

I did not realize that Cheeful Song was a homebrew.

Does Initiative no longer benefit from Jack of All Trades, or is this a glitch in DDB?
