Technically this is a compatibility issue with older material, but it relates to the 2024 rules:
Eldritch Adept doesn't let you pick Invocations from the 2024 rules (nothing about the wording of the Eldritch Adept feat implies you are limited to earlier rules).
I think this goes back to backwards compatibility and the pre-req uses the term Pact Magic feature. They are technically not 'features' in 2024 PHB. They are all Invocations, so until WotC comes out with any errata or Sage Advice, that feat only works with 2014 subclasses exclusively and only the non-revised 2014 Invocations.
As wagnarokkr pointed out, you seem to be thinking of the Pact Boons, which aren't a requirement for Eldritch Adept.
The only requirement is either having a spellcasting feature or pact magic feature (so, basically, any spell caster can take it if they're a spellcaster by any class or any subclass, not via Feats nor Race/Species), and that if the Eldritch Invocation has pre-reqs, you have to be a Warlock who meets those pre-reqs. So there's no direct reason to believe that Eldritch Adept can only work with non-revised pre-2024 EI's ... but that's what the D&DB Character Builder is doing: limiting you to pre-2024 EI's when you take them via Eldritch Adept.
Yes. That may have been my thought at the time.
I do think this particular invocation though does open up a Pandora's box of unintended multiclassing options. We'll see if WotC adds any more restrictions on this one during any Sage Advice, in the future. It takes away from the heart of being a Warlock, with the current way 2024 allows you to pick the Pact invoc's.
Bug Report: Hello, just noticed that my friend who is a ranger can access (some of) the Epic Boon Feats (Boon of Combat Prowess, that lets him not miss once every turn, Boon of Dimensional Travel, etc.) at lvl 9. I assume this isn't intended?
I have a feeling those issue will end up like Tasha AKA unadressed
Inspired by this comment, I took a look at how the dndbeyond staff have treated the two issues and support threads.
The one for Tasha's initially had a lot of interaction with the staff, often with multiple posts per day. Not only were the posts frequent, but also informative. As time moved on, the posts got less and less frequent. The last one is dated Jun 1, 2022, so over two years ago, which I guess sort of matches when they stopped caring.
This thread has had a total of two staff reponses to date, both from September.
If this website at least had a changelog for bugfixes like other platforms (Roll 20, Foundry, etc), I think people would at least tolerate the lack of response from the staff. But without one, we have no idea if any complaints are being addressed, and that's a big mistake on their end
It does have a changelog, you can find it under the media tab. Here is a link if you cant find it for some reason.
There is no legacy poison spray spell available. The only option for my sorcerer is the 2024 poison spray which is not allowed by my DM. In the meantime I have been instructed to use the 5e Companion App. I have resorted to writing out the spell details but would greatly appreciate if you could add the 2014 legacy version the the available spells.

2024 version is better mechanically IMO.
Also, The DMG blipped out and back into my ownership like the PHB did multiple times. The PHB does this every few days.

Did you build your character using the 2024 version of the Sorcerer class? If so, you won't have access to the old versions of things that have been updated for 2024, including Poison Spray; you need to use the Legacy/2014 version of the Sorcerer class instead. If your DM doesn't allow the new versions of spells, they probably don't want you using the new version of the class either.
For those who have a number of 2014 characters check your home screen. Apparently when they split things up to give us the check box for 2014 rules, they unchecked it for all my 2014 characters but turned it on for all my 2024 characters.
OK so the duplicate 2024 spells have disappeared from 2014 Paladin character sheets... so these boards are being monitored. Thank you.
However, half of Paladin 2014 legacy spells have disappeared too.
Magic Weapon and Divine Favour, for instance, only appear once, as 2024 free rules spells, in which they're not concentration spells, unlike 2014. So in fixing one bug, a different bug has been created.
They do have a changelog, but it's mainly used to announce new/changed features. They don't list bugs and there's no updates on what bugs they've fixed.
So it seems like older content from like TCOE and XGTE in regards to the Paladin class, such as the Oath of the Watchers subclass does not auto prepare its expanded spell list. This is surely an error.
Bug Report: A homebrew copy of Divine Soul Sorcerer with nothing changed about it but name and description for the 2024 Sorcerer class does not have access to the cleric spell list at all.
I know Divine Magic has always been a very finnicky, specific trait. But it was my understanding that the only thing it needed to function properly was the name "Divine Magic" on the feature. Is it also tied to specifically having (XGtE) behind "Divine Soul Sorcerer" in the subclass title now?
I too have noted that older subclasses do not auto prepare their expanded spell lists if the original published subclass did not auto prepare them. I have tried Homebrewing a subclass but 2024 classes do not seem to have access to Homebrew subclasses.

They do, but the new and old classes are different classes, and subclasses belong to a specific class, and it cannot be changed. If you are working from a 2014 subclass, the resulting homebrew will always be for the same 2014 base class. You have to start from a 2024 subclass and copy everything over.
I imagine this has been discussed in this thread, but scrolling through 83 pages to locate it is a bit much, but I have noticed an issue with all 2024 spell casting classes where the spells you have automatically prepared do not appear as prepared when choosing the other spells to prepare as would happen with 2014 spell casting classes.
i have a vengeance paladin created with 2014 rules that shows hunter’s mark, haste, dimension door, ETC “always prepared” when choosing spells, but on a 2024 vengeance paladin this does not happen. The spells do get prepared but do not show that they are prepared in the list which causes them to be able to be prepared twice.
I have noticed this on clerics, wizards, druids, and sorcerers I have created as well. This will cause a ton of confusion with my players if/when we do switch to 2024 rules
Fantastic, I was just looking at those spells the other day, wondering why they didn't show up in my searches!
I have a bookmarked filter for spells from sources I own, and have noticed that spells that have been reprinted in the 2024 Player's Handbook don't show up in searches, even though I own the 2014 Player's Handbook from which they originate.
The bug is not completely fixed though, as i.e. even the legacy version of phantasmal force will not show up in a search with a 2014 Player's Handbook filter. I'm sure there are many more cases like this.
The ultimate "fix all" solution for this would be a search criteria such as &filter-owned-content=t, but I'm sure there are some underlying technical issues that both make that impractical to implement and are causing the aforementioned bug in the first place...
Player's Handbook feats are not showing when selecting level 4 feats - Campaign book sharing is active - I can see spells from the book - even removing pre-requisites (only others books show)
I was looking to add observant feat (PHB pg 168) to my druid

I fully expect the Monster Manual to do the same.

.... yep, same for me.
Now, if only they would give us that checkbox for the 2024 core rules, too ...
