When player a 2024 Sorcerer 5th level, casting CHAOS BOLT, clicking on the damage dice only rolls 2d8, but not the additional 1d6. (I recommend to players to switch to Chromatic Orb, instead, as I don't know whether this will be fixed as Chromatic Orb is from XGTE.)
This isn't an issue with the new content per se; D&D Beyond has never had proper support for spells or attacks having multiple types of damage dice like that.
The new version of Chromatic Orb is probably a better choice in most cases, though Chaos Bolt does have a longer range and no costly material component.
We are a small group, we do not speak english well, we are starters, we are inexperienced, we have families, we have small freetime. We want to stuck to the rules we learned and maybe we would like to try out 2024 later in another campaign. But now we have started it in 2014 rules. How can we change the Core rules to 2014? For example Grapple and weapons and thing always show up the new way. I am reading the forums for an hour now, and I can't even find it.
There's currently no way to make a fully 2014 character sheet. The features you mentioned cannot be changed and will always show the 2024 rules. It will be up to the players (or more likely the DM) to check and make sure the correct rules are used.
There has been no communication from DnDBeyond that would indicate they plan to resolve this (although there's been almost no communication from DnDBeyond about anything since the new Players Handbook was released).
Since purchasing the PHB 2024 I have received several updates for the book in my app. Is there a list somewhere that details what was changed for the updates?
This isn't a question about dndbeyond's intergration of the PHB2024 rules, it's more a sense check on an aspect of the PHB2024 rules.
I think the combination of Mason's Tools and the gear Block and Tackle in the Crafter feat's Fast Crafting table doesn't make sense.
A block and tackle, I believe are made from rope (the tackle) and wood and/or metal (the block). Mason's Tools are used to shape and split stone. You use a block and tackle to move heavy items like a large enough stone, but you can't make a block and tackle with Mason's Tools.
Hey, so this is been going on for a while but I guess it didnt make it to the devs attention but Valor Bards are getting 2 extra attacks at level 3 and 3 at level 5. This is due to a misplaced extra attacks increase at the Martial Training feature.
edit: for some reason the image is not showing, but i made a homebrew copy of the subclass and in the Martial Training feature, it clearly show the bug

Before & even during the advent of iron, the block was a heavy, carved stone.
Metal isn't cheap, even in a world where Wish & Creation exist.
I would think that a block and tackle would be more akin to a Teamster's toolbox, for lifting heavy objects into a wagon bed, and the block better made by a woodworker/carpenter or a metal smith, depending on the level of technology made available. The take (rope/chain) better prepared by a weaver (rope) or a metalsmith (chain). I also find it strange that TEAMSTER (a driver of a team of animals) isn't listed as a profession/background, requiring strength (loading), animal handling (horse, mule, oxen), and possibly land navigation along with knowledge of trade routes.
I'm a level 6 Moon Druid. I now have a +4 bonus to my Con Saves (based on my Wis mod) listed in my base stat block (upper left hand corner), but my wild shape stat blocks have no changes to their Con saves. Shouldn't it be the other way around? The rules state that the Wisdom modifier bonus to Con Saves only applies when I'm in Wild Shape form, correct?
Still having issues with Paladin subclasses from expanded rules. Oath of the crown won't add subclass spells and won't give a uses tracker for channel divinity
Oath of Redemption - Xanathar's Guide to Everything
Oath of the Crown - Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide
Oath of the Watchers - Tasha's Cauldron of Everything
Oathbreaker - Dungeon Master's Guide (2014)
Half a year later, these still have the issue of the 2024 Channel Divinity feature not showing on the character sheet because the "backwards compatible" features have the same name. Also Oath spells are not Always Prepared like they should be.
Issue: Cannot pick the Elven Accuracy feat when playing a 2024 Elf.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a new character, picking 2024 Elf as the species, and putting 4 levels into any class.
2. Open the level 4 feat pick dropdown.
3. Note that Elven Accuracy does not show up as an option under Extended Rules.
# Searing Smite
Issue: Searing Smite's "start of each of the target's turns" damage does not scale when upcast, despite the spell description stating that "All the damage increases by 1d6 for each spell slot level above 1".
Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a level 5 Paladin character, picking Searing Smite as a spell option.
2. On the character sheet, go to the Spells tab and click on Searing Smite to open its description.
3. Click on the "+" icon in the top-right to preview a 2nd level upcast.
4. Note that the "start of each of the target's turns" damage does not increase to 2d6.

As far as I can tell, the 2024 elf isn't the same internally as a 2014 elf, so you can't get elven accuracy unless you disable the feat prerequisites on the first screen for the character — this is true for all the race feats (as was) in XGTE
The snippet for the Abjure Foes action for Paladins has a typo. It reads: "... you can target up to 4 that you can see within 60 ft." That sentence is missing the word "creatures" after the number 4 (or however many they can target).

Still can't select two weapon fighting fighting style at second level (or any leve6) with my ranger. It looks like it is the only style not on the pull down list.
Valor Bard is getting an extra attack at level 5 and shouldn't be. It's screwing up level 6 extra attack and then shows three attacks when it should only be two.

I agree you can't make a block and tackle with Mason's Tools. Basically having prof. with a tool set does not allow you to make that tool set.

Works fine for me. Can you share a link to your character, and make sure their Character Privacy is set to “Public”?
