This might be an error on the system as I cannot find any documented record of it however, the artificer cannot pick any of the updated spells from the new PHB.
All their spells display as legacy and there is no way to allow the new spells to be picked in place of the old ones. Is there any support planned for this problem?
Including my support on this issue, I'm running into the same thing and it is very frustrating - it's bad enough that Aritifcer wasn't included in the 2024 rules. and even with the alleged "backward compatibility" this makes it very hard to play the only class that wasn't included in the update.
It looks like it's caused by the tags for the new spells not including artificers in the 2024 phb. Hopefully this is an easy fix with just adding artificer to the tags but it may be a while before we can access the new spells.
Artificer is definitely broken for the 2024 build. Without access to the proper spell list, it's going to be very difficult to play. Pls fix asap.
Edit: I would also add that there are items missing from the "Replicate Magic Item" infusion. So far I've noted that there isn't an option to replicate the Bag of Holding or Goggles of Night.
Same here. I found a temporary solution that works for me but it isn't ideal. I created a feat with which I can add the 2024 version of the spells to the character sheet. However, it is of course quite tedious and they are not always displayed correctly. In addition, I can no longer cast them directly, as the spells are displayed in the character sheet as at-will casts without spellslot consumption and I therefore have to fill in the spellslots manually. But maybe there is a better solution. Unfortunately, I'm not very familiar with the homebrew stuff on DnD Beyond. Until WotC fixes this problem I'll have to make do with it for better or worse. Let's hope they do it soon.
Adding to bump this thread as well. One of my players also can't see homebrew spells that were previously created.
My own "developer at my day job" brain assumes this has to do with the about-face on replacing spells, since previously there was only one list to worry about and now they've been split into "the old spell list for this class" and "the 2024 spell list for this class." And with Artificer not being in the PHB... it fell through the cracks I guess?
(Pretty awkward when, outside of online tools, you can walk into your local game store today and buy the new PHB and Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, both being currently in print, and as such WotC expects you to be able to use them together even if you have nothing else...)

1. Homebrew spells have been split into 2014 and 2024 as well. Going in and adding the 2024 version can grant it to the updated classes. As for Artificer, might just be a matter of refreshing the spell permissions.
2. Most stores aren't carrying the book until the 17th.
Adding onto this thread. Can't update my campaign until they fix this. My player who runs an artificer already expressed disappointment about the class not being included, this certainly doesn't help.
Yep.... I have the same problem both for my character in one campaign and also for another guy's character in the campaign I run. Bumpity Bump bump bump.
My artificer is able to switch to a new background and the new versions of the spells are available through that, so I've got my d10 Chill Touch while I'm waiting for all the rest.
This is NOT an issue. None of the new spells are on the artificer spell list, and therefore they will not be added until a new artificer comes out.
Personally I'm hoping for a sourcebook focused on crafting that has artificers, some subclasses for other classes, feats, backgrounds, a crafting system that a bit more fleshed out, and a whole bunch of items.
It's never gonna happen but a man can dream.

Playing high charisma characters with no real life charisma - the only fantasy that still eludes me.

It is an issue. All 2014 classes (Cleric, Druid, etc) have access to the 2024 spells now as well, except the Artificer. And most of the spells in the PHB have been revised and the Artificer has a lot of spells from the PHB.
Also folks, this is a known issue. Bumping the thread over and over is not going to make them solve it faster.

I'm also having this issue. Even if you turn off legacy as an option, it removes several spells from the list

Running into the same problem myself.
Yup, I'm having the same issue.
Also having the same issue, hope this can be updated soon.
Same. I have a player who is playing an artificer in a new campaign a couple weeks from now. Going to be a pain in the butt if it doesn't get fixed.
