OK, so this is part of the pre order bundle I put in on June 19th via PayPal. D&D Beyond got my money already. My paypal account was debited. And now it looks like DDB tried to bill me for more than I was suposed to be charged, and because I use PayPal not a card on file for billing, they were not able to bill my account.
I put in a support ticket, but I do hope everyone else is safe from this issue.
Billing errors happen. I understand. Just as long as I get my order and pay the original pre-order discount.

I got the same exact email and cancellation today. I pre-ordered the bundle back in July using paypal. I'm submitting a support ticket too. I have a bad feeling this will be a trend with paypal users.
I looked at the transactions since I got a charge today. I preordered a digital+physical bundle. It looks like they only charged for the digital portion back when I placed the order. Today they charged for the physical book.
Ive also received one for the 2024 PHB, and opened a support ticket. (Purchased the physical/digital bundle of all 3 books, and today the pHB physical purchase somehow failed)
I ordered the 3 book digital/physical bundle and also received an email this morning for the 2024 PHB stating my purchased failed. My payment method was PayPal. I checked PayPal and there isn’t even a record of an attempt to be charged. Put in a support ticket early this morning and no reply so far.
Thank you so much for posting. Same thing happened to me and I thought I was going insane or something. I don’t even think I used PayPal for this purchase, but I have a transaction record for SOMETHING in here. I submitted a ticket but no response yet

I have a PayPal record of being charged for the full amount, which is deeply frustrating.
