Hi, I disabled the expanded rules toggle, because my campaigns will be staying on 2014 rules. When I do so, I am unable to select certain 2014 races/species.
An example includes Vedalken, any Monsters of the Multi-verse Races, Spell Jammer, and more. This is similar to the artificer infusions bug, because, frankly, I should be able to use the content I paid for without toggling on 2024 rules. I have a screenshot before toggling Expanded Rules to Yes, and after below.
Yes. That's what Expanded Rules is. 2024 is designated as Core Rules. You'll just have to make selections that are Legacy and Expanded and ignore the Core in your options.
"Expanded Rules" is a very opaque name for "I would like to be able to access all the content I've purchased." Maybe different phrasing, or a line of small-print clarification?
Nah. The PHB, DMG, and Monster Manual have always been considered the "core rules". Everything else was expanded rules that were optional for campaigns. They were advertised that way from the beginning, so using that term on the character sheets makes sense now. The only thing that it needs is a little hover-over bubble that explains what it means.

The expanded rules toggle doesn't have anything to do with the 2024 rules. It permits books beyond the core three.
The legacy toggle gives you access to things that have been supplanted by more recent versions.
The 2024 stuff is always available.

Even that would be better than nothing.
