In the character builder we have an option to "export to PDF" but it still uses the old character sheet, is there any info about they updating it to use the new sheet?
Yes! The new sheet looks amazing and seems to have been developed to work really well. Any news on when and if we can expect the more new appearance character sheet?
Currently searching how too if anyone knows give me a shout. I think you can on Roll 20 but I don't use that site and don't want to faff redoing my character in there builder.
Same here! Been waiting for that. I want to get a friend into dnd and they made a character on my dnd beyond and I wanted to give him the new character sheet because it’s just so much more newbie friendly. I know I can print it out or fill it online but this would just make more sense.
annoying... they still made it impossible to use the new features and rules in their new rules on their new sheet. Even on the new character-sheet, they completely forgot the encumberance...
During PDF export, I always get the old sheet. And a completely empty one. For every character, no matter whether 2014 and 2024. Besides the missing 2024 sheet, is it known that the PDF export is always empty?

There is no "old" and "new" sheet; D&D Beyond only has one version of the character sheet at present. That character sheet format is their own creation, not something from either Player's Handbook version, and they haven't said anything about updating it as far as I know.
As for the blanks, some folks have noted that this happens specifically in Microsoft Edge. If that's what you're using, you might try using a different browser. It may have to do with the fact that the generated character sheets use fillable form fields.
I get this sometimes and it's really annoying when rushing out the door for DnD. Changing browser can help.
I've download the blank 2024 PDF and have been copying and pasting my character across and saving. It's easy enough to update and reprint just click on where you have put text and edit. I think this is as close as we will get to the new sheet till they update the site.

untrue. there is a old and new sheet.
just open the online PHB2024 and click Download Character Sheet or flip through the PHB2024 pages and you will find it too --> and then compare to your "oneandonly"character sheet.
where will you track the heroic inspiration? or the species traits?... Sure - you can copy and paste from old to new, but - honestly frankly: is this really the last word?

Hi!

Echoing both of the above! Really looking forward to creating with the new character sheet layout.

Also mirroring the other comments, really want to export into the new layout as it seems much more intuitive.
