If you’re building a Cleric and pick the Life Domain at level 3, you don’t get Aid as an always prepared spell. Not sure if anyone else has this issue, but it happened for me when I was trying to craft a character.

I also have built a life cleric and when prompted to choose spells I was given the choice of two identical 'Aid' spells, but neither read as " Always Prepared."
Interestingly, a few days ago I noticed my Light Cleric had Aid added to their ‘always prepared’ list. Seems like someone behind the scenes typoed Life to Light.
But I can only prepare 3 level 1 spells (with 2 being occupied by the always prepared "Bless" and "Cure Wounds" spells).
Can anyone confirm this?
Cheers,
Not a bug, you just did not understand the rules.
A cleric prepares a number of spells equal to their Cleric level + their Wisdom modifier. They will also have their Domain Spells always prepared in addition to this.
Your Wisdom is 11 so your Wisdom modifier is +0 (weird choice to use the most important cleric stat as a dump stat, but you do you). As a level 1 cleric you will prepare 1 + 0 spells, or 1 spell, and you chose Guiding Bolt (which will suck because you dumped your casting stat). You also have Bless and Cure Wounds prepared because these are your Domain Spells as a Life Domain cleric.
You really need to re-read the Cleric's spellcasting feature.

I think there's some confusion here between the spell preparation rules in the 2014 vs 2024 versions of the Cleric class. The 2014 version works like you say: prepare spells equal to Cleric level plus Wisdom modifier. In the 2024 version, a Cleric at level 1 can always prepare 4 spells (not including the domain spells) regardless of their Wisdom modifier. OP is making a 2014 Cleric but reading the description of how the 2024 Cleric works.
Thank you for the clarification. I indeed seem to have mixed up the different version of rules. As I said, I'm new to D&D in gerneral and we just completed the "Start set campaign" where I played the pre created cleric.
Now we bought the players handbook and it seems to have the 2014 rules. So I need to adapt and change the character.
Thanks for your feedback. As someone else pointed out I mixed up the 2014 and current rules.
As for the Wisdom stat I was under the impression that the leading stat would be charisma. But obviously I wrong here to. I need to read up a lot in this regards.
Thanks for all the hints and heads up in this case.

Different classes use different ability scores for casting spells. Charisma is the most common (used by Bards, Paladins, Sorcerers, and Warlocks) but Clerics, Druids, and Rangers use Wisdom, while Wizards use Intelligence.

Tested and can confirm.

same here its a bit frustrating, hopefully it is fixed soon

I have another bug I encountered yesterday. I'm new to D&D Beyond and tried to build a level 1 Cleric (https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/133735145).
According to the rules I should be able to prepare 4 level 1 speels and 3 cantrips (https://www.dndbeyond.com/classes/2190877-cleric).
But I can only prepare 3 level 1 spells (with 2 being occupied by the always prepared "Bless" and "Cure Wounds" spells).

Can confirm. Looks like they just tied Aid to the Light domain instead of Life.
