When you hit with your Unarmed Strike and deal damage, you can deal Bludgeoning damage equal to 1d6 plus your Strength modifier instead of the normal damage of an Unarmed Strike. If you aren't holding any weapons or a Shield when you make the attack roll, the d6 becomes a d8.
At the start of each of your turns, you can deal 1d4 Bludgeoning damage to one creature Grappled by you.
I also noticed this when I was changing a previously made character from the 2014 rules into a 2024 version of itself. Haven't found a fix yet other than adding a custom action or a custom item which you could then equip. Don't know why they changed it for the 2024 characters since it still works as intended as gives you 2 seperate actions for each damage die on the 2014 versions of characters.
