I bought both physical and digital 2024 core books. I've found items in the DMG that link to the market place to purchase "old" books. good thing I have the physical copy.
examples
Bead of refreshments-On D&DB it's wants me to buy Xanathar's guide
Candle of the deep On D&DB it's wants me to buy Xanathar's guide
Cloak of billowing On D&DB it's wants me to buy Xanathar's guide
I also see this problem with the following:
Dread Helm & Walloping Ammunition.
A search for these in Magic Items also only returns a result for the Xanathar's Guide versions. It is as though a 2024 entry has never been created for these items.
On the first page under the BACKWARDS COMPATIBILITY heading it states that where there is no difference between the 2014 and 2024 items, they will NOT create a 2024 item and will just update the 2014 item if there is updated wording, but mechanically they are the same.
I think you're missing the point. These items are printed in the 2024 DMG, so they should be in the digital version of the 2024 DMG and not require the purchase of another book.
So I've had a few email interactions with DDB support and first they stated that my issue was resolved, and several weeks later, no it's not. When I replay that there's still a problem and provide screen shots, I'm told I have to buy Tasha's or Xanathar's books which is incorrect. When I explain that the content that i paid for in the 2024 DMG is unavailable they've not responded. I've cancelled my tier subscription, and when that "runs out" on Dec 6th, I will cancel my order for the Monster Manual. The only reason I bought the digital versions was as a convenience for my players.
I have access to the DMG through content sharing. I can see the book just fine, but the magic items don't appear for my characters in the manager inventory area

Are the characters in the campaign in which the book is being shared?
Content being shared with you is only accessible in the campaign(s) where it's being shared.
Many, but not all, items were in the free rules. I don't actually know what the current state of the 24 free rules and items are, but see if you can access the items from that campaign.
The Bead of Force magic item description/page say I do not own the 2024 DMG to view the item even though I pre-ordered it and can access everything else I have tried to use from it.

Yes, I opened a support ticket after a few back and forths, I still do not have access to all the 2024 DMG content, and I've not heard from DDB since 13 Nov.
I believe the Random Treasure Hoard table in chapter 4 has an error. It indicates 8d8 × 10,000 (36,000) GP for CR 11-16. Based on the average listed (and the numbers for the CR 17+, otherwise you'd get less treasure for defeating higher CR creatures), I'm pretty sure it was intended to be 8d8 × 1,000.
The chart in the Mobs Results table in the Mob section appears to have the results backward. It shows that the higher you roll the LESS monsters succeed. If this were correct it would mean that if a Mob of monsters roll a 20 then zero out of 5 of them would succeed. It's got to be a misprint.
The Mob Results table isn't a roll result table, it's a roll needed table. It means if a mob needs a 20 to hit then the group of 5 monsters all miss. The mobs don't roll anything. For example: if the monsters in a group of 5 need to roll a 10 to hit then normally 3/5 hit (line 10), or if they have advantage then 4/5 hit (line 5), or if they have disadvantage only 2/5 hit (line 15).
I noticed while adding the cloak of the bat to one of my character's inventory that the 2024 version of it linked to the legacy version of the polymorph spell instead of the 2024 polymorph spell.
I figure this is probably because the wording of the item itself was similar enough to not warrant a completely different item, however it is frustrating and I am sure that the cloak of the bat is not the only item affected in this way.
---As a quick addendum for clarification, the spell that the 2024 version of the cloak grants to the character sheet is the legacy version of polymorph, even though the 2024 version of the spell is linked on the item page.
I was reading the physical 2024 DMG and had to come to D&D Beyond to find where the stat block might be for an Animated Broom.
My suggestion is that the Animated Broom should be featured in the upcoming Monster Manual.
There is a similar issue with the Larva referenced in the 2024 DMG; a risk of attuning to the Book of Vile Darkness. The Larva stat block is in the 2014 DMG.
New players who have had the 2024 DMG for Christmas would be nonplussed to discover they needed to purchase the 2014 version as well.
Larva stat block is inaccessible from the in-book link in the 2024 Dungeon Master's Guide without a digital version of the 2014 Dungeon Master's Guide.

Check out my Boss Feats series! They're homebrew feats made to help DMs elevate enemies who have character sheets above levels of normal play!

Dread Helm & Walloping Ammunition.
Well, the Dread Helm no longer sends me to buy Xanather's Guide. Now it sends me to buy the 2024 DMG, which I already own... You really can't make this stuff up.
Walloping Ammunition is still fully broken though. So they fixed 25% of the problem? Wow. Just... wow.
I own the 2024 DMG. I’ve noticed that all of the links to the DMG in the CoS book go to the 2014 DMG which I haven’t purchased. Will there be a way to toggle which version the links go to? Thanks!
When I try to add a Efreeti Chain to a character sheet, what I find is considered Legacy and it counts as a Scale Armour, where as it should count as either Chain Mail, or Chain Shirt.
I don't know if this is related to the 2024 DMG, but I am having a big issue with weapon proficiency. For some reason, muskets and pistols, don't count as firearms, and don't apply the weapon proficiency I have with them for some reason, I haven't tested this with other firearms yet, but I wouldn't doubt that they don't work properly.
Please fix the issue, surely it can't be hard to simply slap a (firearm) tag on it so that the proficiency bonus works.

Clockwork Amulet from the Dungeon Master Guide does not appear in the selection in the character sheet.

You have to kill every player ones or twice before they learn!
