Filtering demons can be useful for the Summon lesser and Greater demon spells for players and for checking out themed encounters for DMs. Unfortunately, right now there are two ways to filter a demon and some of them only use one or the other. You can filter Demons (and other creature sub-types) through the "Monster Tags" filter or the "Monster Sub-Types" filter, but demons like the "Cackler" only show up by filtering sub-types, while the Bulezau only shows up by filtering through monster tags. This makes it difficult to filter them effectively and means you need to separate windows open to actually check out all demons and then you have to cross-reference them to see which shows up where. I imagine this might be a problem for other monster sub-types as well. If tags are a necessary feature I would at least suggest removing all monster sub-types from there and unifying the two lists under the existing "monster Sub-types" filter or adding all appropriate monsters to both lists.
tags are a system that was added as a way of grouping non-standard types, where a monster had multiple subtypes, or it wasn't appropriate for there to be a sub-type.
It hasn't been used consistently throughout the various publications however. Moreover, the subtypes system has been improved, such that a monster can have multiple subtypes (Graz'zt is both a demon and a shapechanger for example).
Filtering via TYPE and SUB-TYPE should be the correct approach.

I don't know why there are creatures with the demon monster tag that don't have the demon sub-type. This may be an error.
But to save you some time in the future, the only demon sub-types that dont have the demon monster tag are the 4 rakdos ones.

The Bulezau has a sub-type of demon, so will appear on that filter view.
If you do find any demons that aren't on that list, please let us know!

Wow, it looks like it has already been fixed and the sub-type filter works with every demon now. Awesome, thanks!
