So, when going into equipment management, none of my homebrew items are showing up. It might just be that this option is not implemented as of yet, but homebrew spells are showing up in the spell manager, so it would seem odd to have one and not the other.

I have encountered the same problem.
I'm also seeing the same thing. Created two homebrew magic items, but they're not showing in the "Equipment" list.
I'm having the same problem.
At this time homebrew items are not linked to the character builder. It is planned to link them soon. ;)

This is also for purchased magic items from a book as well
Make sure your character has the option to allow homebrew selected. I'm using them. Not sure if anything else would cause an issue.
