In the meantime, bookmarks you make at any point in the alpha are kind of on the chopping block at any point - they might get broken and need to be remade once we have a full release. As BadEye covered in his post, breaking changes were made to bookmarks in the latest version. This means existing bookmarks will no longer work (and simply crash the app). We fully anticipate this happening at least one more time in the near future as we work on the bookmark overhaul.

It's an app in the Alpha phase, honestly I'd imagine anything "savable" is as they said, "on the chopping block" for new iterations. I would treat anything savable/customizable that way until they state otherwise. For example, when the site itself was in beta, several asked if the characters we were making were going to get removed when the site went live, they responded and stated that any characters created would be saved throughout, and they were. But if they aren't explicitly stating that, I wouldn't count on it.
Doesn't mean you can't use them, but you might want to note what you're doing in a notepad or something if it means alot to you.

Hi Mehetmet, I appreciate your reply as a product developer; do you know when they'll allow us to save bookmarks?
I gather that if its in alpha phase that they wipe out all bookmarks with each update; good to know so I don't save any more bookmarks until the beta/final version is released; I had spent about an hour creating bookmarks and now they are all non-functional.
The newest update that went out this morning has a more finalized version of the Bookmarks feature. Going forward, we intend on keeping the integrity of the bookmarks and not wiping them.
Of course, a disclaimer needs to be said that nothing is definite while the app remains in Alpha/Beta phases but at this point barring any unforeseen circumstances, current bookmarks should be carried through to release.
i just updated the app, my old bookmarks when clicked just close the app out.
new bookmarks work fine though, so maybe nothing that can be done about it, but all my existing are broken
