We should make the Players Handbook, Dungeon Masters Guide, and Monster Manual available to all players for free because those are the most fundamental books to DND and you shouldn’t have to pay for them. They also give us more options for characters and it adds feats (when you are playing on Mobile).
This forum is for feedback on D&D Beyond rather than tnt general business models of D&D. However, it's important to note that the basic rules, which includes all the elements of the player's handbook, dungeon masters guide, and monsters manual required to play D&D, is already free
This is like asking for the patty to be free because it's fundamental to a burger.
As Davyd says, the basic rules already offers some elements of the game to be free of charge.

A bit of feedback: It's frustrating that there's no option to just buy the Character Options in the Book of Many Things. If I want access to the backgrounds or feats or spells I'll have to buy the whole digital sourcebook here. That's never been the case before. One of the things I like about DND Beyond is the ability to buy only what I need or will use from a digital sourcebook. Is this how things will be from now on?

Completely agree. It makes complete sense for the third-party offerings not to offer piecemeal, but I don't understand why the Book of Many Things, an official D&D Book, is not offering piecemeal options.
