I just read through Scions of Elemental Evil. I'd love to get some friends together and play in DnDBeyond with the published premade characters in the adventure. Sadly it appears this functionality doesn't exist. I was hoping that when I created a campaign and managed content sharing to include Scions of Elemental Evil, the premade character in the adventure would be available to "import" for my players to simply claim. Instead it looks like we'll need to manually enter the published premade into the character builder "by hand". Is this true? If so, I vote for an upgrade to allow adventure premades to be accessible to players in a campaign when the content is included via content sharing.
That suggestion is so sensible that I'm actually kinda surprised that it's not already a thing.
Thank you for the reply. I hope importing published premades into campaigns is already on someone's radar.
all i did was create unassigned premade characters
There are premade level one characters we can import into campaigns, yes, but we can not bring in adventure specific premades as far as I know. Scions of Elemental includes premade characters at level 4 with spells and equipment relevant to the adventure.
So will we be getting a PDF version of the new 2024 Basic Rules like they did when 5th edition came out, because not everyone is comfortable or is able to sit and read electronic versions for long periods, while having a version we can print out onto paper makes accessing the new Basic Rules much easier for us.

A PDF version would be nice for a few reasons, but I don't recall DDB releasing PDFs of any of the live content, just the UA stuff. Maybe they do and I just don't know how to find them.
Still, you can print the free rules if you want. It won't be pretty but it can be done. Just go to the free rules under Sources and click the first item in the TOC (Playing the Game) and hit Ctrl+P and print away. I had to do this for an adventure I was running that I only owned digitally. It worked, but maps and images were a bit wonky.

The has never been a PDF of the 'basic rules'. There's been a PDF of the SRD. Which I would expect to come out when the new SRD comes out (sometime next year, it needs to wait on the MM).

I think Wizards did release a PDF of BR when 5e was released.
I would love the ability to create mundane items. Yes, I know I can homebrew an uncommon magic item with no attunement needed that can work, but it would just be nice to be able to not do that and have the ability to create a mundane item.
I was somewhat expecting the new bastion tracker to be either integrated into the Character Sheets, given they are player specific, or available to add to a campaign somewhere at the least. It's a bit jarring to have all the players using dndbeyond for their character but then have a pdf they laminate or work in pencil on to track facilities and orders week to week. Is Bastion tracking support on the road map?
Shared containers were one of those things on the development map when D&D Beyond was sold and the focus went from improving the tools to squeezing money out of it. Gotta love the rot economy. Number must go up.
Would really like the ability to hide all homebrew content made prior to the 2024 release AND the other way around so I can browse the stuff most relevant to the system I am using. If I am missing a way this is possible, please educate me.

Not quite the same functionality but, have you considered placing shared items in containers held by an NPC hireling?
Subject: Request to Add Bastions to D&D Beyond Character Sheets
Hello D&D Beyond Team,
I’m reaching out to request the addition of Bastions to the D&D Beyond character sheets. With their introduction, they’ve become an exciting part of gameplay, adding depth and customization to characters, and it would be fantastic to have them integrated into the digital toolset.
Adding Bastions would be a valuable feature for many players and Dungeon Masters, streamlining the experience and keeping all relevant character details in one place. I know a lot of us would love to see this functionality in D&D Beyond!
Thank you for your consideration and all the work you do to support the community!
Now that we have the new rules to create custom Backgrounds on the 2024 DMG it would be grand if that function was a soon D&D Beyond. Unfortunately they have 2014 method. Thanks!
Maps requests: Lock shapes to map, lock shapes to token.
It'd be nice to have an option in the right-click menu of a shape, to be able to lock that shape to the map. This would prevent normal left-clicks from accidentally selecting or moving the shape when trying to click on a token that is in the same space. Any right-click would still interact with the shape. This would be great for difficult terrain, fire on the ground, or a concentration spell like Spike Growth.
Also being able to lock a shape to a specific token, so when the token is moved, the shape follows. This would be great for emanating effects like a Cleric's Spirit Guardians, or a character's dark vision range to act like a perimeter of what they can see.
I don't know about anyone else, but I don't want to use Maps to create encounters using 2024 calculations. I don't always DM my games online, but I love the Encounter Builder tool to prep and save different kinds of encounters. Now I have to take additional steps to get to my encounters if I want to use the 2024 calcs, and it seems like you just can't put in generic PCs - you have to use the character sheets built in DDB to pull in PCs.
PLUS, with Maps, you HAVE to pull in a map before you can even build the encounter!
Please make give the existing Encounter Builder tool the ability to use 2024 difficulty calcs!
I would like to vote to have the Encounter Builder updated to use the 2024 DMG. Maps is very poor substitute for the Encounter Builder.
I would also like to vote to have Custom Background from the 2024 DMG added to the Character Builder. I don't want to havve to homebrew a new Background for every character I or my players make.
once again, requesting, the ability to turn off the 2024 content so it neither appears in the builder or in my library, never purchased it, didn't want it, shouldn't have to accept it just to keep using the product I've invested literally $1000+ into over 6 years.

It would be cool to be able to add a wagon or a beast of burden to the campaign page that can be accessed by all the players in the campaign.

FEATURE REQUEST: We need a "DAWN" button option for Long Rest, to restore all magic item charges and game features that reset at Dawn.
Or put a Dawn recover checkbox option with the Reset Max HP checkbox.
(Not a new request, because it has been asked several times over the years, but just thought I'd remind it again just in case...)
