Anyone knows if creating new fighting style is possible or on the dev’s to-do list?
1. What I do right now, for my Paladin's Magic Weapon and my Hexblade's Hexblade Curse, is create a special item that does it. Works well enough for now.
2. But you should post this in the questions thread for the next behind the scenes update.

You could probably implement this using a custom feat as well.

1. How would you set conditionnal features? I.e the Mariner fighting style, let gives you +1 to your AC and full climb and swim speed if you do not wear an heavy armor and no shield. I tried creating an item to replicate those bonus, but I couldn’t figure how to set the conditions...
2. Where is that thread? I haven’t seen anything like it so far...

3. Thanks :)
1. I just set up an item with the bonuses I want and then activate it or deactivate it as necessary. 2. The last broadcast was Wednesday two weeks ago so you'll probably have to wait for the end of the month.
I hope you guys are seeing a huge demand for more freedom in homebrew creation. Homebrewing is hugely important for most DMs I know. Your system is awesome but is so frustrating in its current limitations.
So there still is no option to add a bonus equal yo tour ability modifier to something is there... I just created the Raven Queen Patron from UA, but the Sentinel Raven is tricky
I'm trying to use DMG Chapter 7 Supernatural Gifts From Branchala (Dragonlance) God of Music, I wanted to Gift Proficiency with Tool Musical Instrument,(Bard's Harp) and possible Skill (Charisma)Performance. The only possible way I could see was a magic item, but I could not get link to Tools or Skills
For Solonor Thelendira (Elvish, Tome of Foe) God of Archery, I wanted to Gift Feat (Sharpshooter). Again a magic item, but could not find a link to Feats
Is there a way to link a Magic Item to Listed/ Official Skills and Feats?
Hi not sure I'm in the right place but I'm having difficulty creating a variant of the divine soul.
All Im looking to do is alter the spell options so the subclass has access to druid spells instead of cleric ones.
so I create a subclass using the divine soul as a guide. fill in the required boxes with blurb and then select, spell casting ability CHA, can cast spells yes, additional spell list druid, spell prepare type level and knows all spells yes and I assumed that was all i needed to do as the rest of the abilities are not changing.
However when I go into a character select my druidic soul and try to select the spells the cantrips appear to work fine but the 1st lvl and above are not selectable and what ever options i select they just dont appear to work as when i select the divine soul?
If possible could someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Edit the good me brew to uncheck the can cast spells. Spell casting is already a feature of the main class the box is there in the subclass homebrew for subclasses if non caster class (like Eldritch knight). The confusi N has tripped several folks up.
Starting in April, I had a bit of a creative surge and began generating and submitting homebrew content. I'll admit that I did a lot of cancelling, correcting and resubmitting, but now I have submitted content that has been untouched waiting to be reviewed since May 18th, 2018. I know that I'm not the only content submitter, and I am totally fine with waiting my turn. But after content has been sitting there a month with no word, it's a bit disheartening, especially if for one reason or other that content ends up getting denied.
Could a system be implemented that lets users know where there content is at in the moderation process? A queue number? Confirmation that someone saw it? Something along those lines?
I might be missing something obvious here but how do I add a new subrace to my already published homebrew race. I can't edit the published version and if I make a new version it seems to remove all the current subraces.
At the top of the page, hover over "characters". A drop down menu will expand when you do. Hover over "races" which expands another one. the last option is "create" You have the option of using an existing race as a template or creating one from scratch. Either way, in the interface will be a check box labeled "is subrace". When you check that, you can select the race that your race is a subrace to.
That only seems to let you create subraces for the official races. I need a way to add additional subraces to my homebrew race without having to redo all the current subraces.
If the base race is a homebrew as well, and hasn't been published, you open it up like you're going to edit it, check the "Will have subraces?" box in basic information, and save. When the page reloads, there will be a new section called "Subraces" with an "add a subrace button"
If your homebrew race has already bee published, open it up your homebrew content and click the race to expand it. There should be two options in the upper right hand corner: disable contents, and make new version. Click make new version. This creates an editable copy of the existing content. You then open up the "COPY_OF_<race name>" that generates in your homebrew content, and follow the previous steps, clicking "will have subraces" if it's not clicked already, then clicking "add subrace"
I know how to add subraces. As I initially said it is my published homebrew race with existing subraces and I wan't to add additional subraces to it. When I create a copy of it all the existing subraces are no longer connected. I don't want to have to remake all the current subraces and the new subraces for the new version. I want to know if there is a way to update the race with new subraces and keep all the current subraces connected?

But checking the box in non caster classes doesn't work either. I'm pretty new to the homebrew stuff, so I might be doing something wrong. any clue how to fix this
I'm afraid I can't offer a solution for non casting classes, as I haven't tried it. I knew about the issue with those checkboxes and casting classes because I follow the forums closely.
Check out all my important links here.
May we live in Less Interesting Times

Thank you! This works for the time being.

I looked for a specifically named feedback megathread for homebrew, but couldn't find it (the link on the First Staff Post Reply Search Search all Forums Search this Forum Search this Thread Tools Subscribe Jump to Forum Focused Feedback Mega Threads - Look Here First! thread doesn't actually lead anywhere but back to the D&D Beyond Feedback home forum)
