My profession is a Software Quality Engineer for mobile applications. It would be a privilege for me to test any native app releases for iOS or Android.
I would love an app, especially since I don't want to lug around my laptop for every game. Being able to access via my iPad or even my Mobile Phone.
I use the Fight Club 5E app currently, and it's fantastic. But something native directly from Wizards that doesn't require manually importing game data would obviously be ideal.
I am happy to say we are working on a mobile app to go along with the website! We do not have any information beyond that to share yet. But offline is very important to us.
Absolutely agree. On the other hand, fight club 5 has been around for a while, so wizards had better come up with something that not only does it justice, but is better. Best :)
You know what I would like, is a Windows 10 app. while I do not like lugging around my laptop, since I have a touch screen Windows 10 Laptop, I would 100% use and even pay for a Windows 10 app to us in my games

After playing around with the mobile side of the compendium, I'm even more excited for the potential of a standalone app.
The mobile version of the website is nice, but it's kinda slow & a little clunky. Useful to be sure, but having that standalone app that doesn't rely on loading a new page for each compendium item will be very nice. =)
I have to agree, that having a mobile app is by far the biggest "complaint" I could list so far. I would much prefer to have an app then have to deal with a browser window on my phone. I'm sure that is in the works and hopefully will be part of the beta as well. They showed it in the introduction video. I also have an issue with having to link it to twitch. I have no use for twitch but it makes me set up an account with them. A non-twitch log in option would be nice.

Good to hear! My only comment is that I hope you make it easy to keep content consistent between the web app and standalone app (that is, my characters transfer between platforms when possible, and so on)! Best of luck!
Will there also be a stand alone app for non-apple or non-android mobile users [Windows]? With my 2 in 1, I can turn it into a tablet and there are also people who use Surface Pros for mobile devices as well.

Hi there,
just wanted to ask if there will be a native Mobile-App or if the Mobile-Browser-View is the only option?
If there is a native app, when can we test it?
Best
William

A stand alone app would definitely be appreciated.

Hey guys!

I do stuff, sometimes.

Honestly my biggest complaint is that this isn't its own App
Great, thanks for the Info. If you need testers for iOS, I would gladly volunteer. (User Experience Design is my job)
cant w8 for this
Hey! just joined in! i am avidly waiting for an app!
i play every tuesday with friends after work. it is complicated for me to carry around at least one heavy book into my already messed backpack.
an app would be a very nice asset! hope it will be nice and work offline.
cheers! keep it coming! congratulations on the good job so far!
Alea jacta est.
I fully support the app idea. My table uses their phones for spell tracking and follower maintenance. We would love to have a mobile version.

Standalone would be great - especially as my group mainly games in an area of very poor mobile data coverage! Looking forward to it...
Today I am mainly being a Dwarf Barbarian
Agree with TexasMAV
A Windows Universal APP would be great > PC , Phones, Surface/pro o.o , Xbox. 1 for ALL !!!
