I have checked, as this is a hobby project the developer is required to approve any new updates. Since he's dealing with some personal stuff the rest of the team can't release any new builds for the forseable future.
just found this - a friend uses it. One thing that is important to us is being able to use another person player. Is there an option to allow another player to have access to another persons character?
I can't figure out how to get this to work as a DM or a player with my mobile phone. I see a couple liinks about making it work with mobile, but is it possible to add the extension with the android (or crapple) version of chrome or firefox? I don't care what browser i need to use, if I can have my players join the game (or even better join as dm) with my mobile.
I was able to get it "kind of" to work with Kiwi browser, which allowed me to use the extension... it's super finicky, however and MIGHT be usable as a Visual aid, but definately not to use in game, i don't think.

I've DM and been a player that uses AboveVTT. Yeah it's a bit finicky, especially considering it's a fan made project. It is totally usable as a virtual table top for multiple people to use.
i guess he means the combination of "AboveVTT in the Kiwi browser on an Android phone"... using it on any Chromium browser on Windows/MacOS or ChromeOS works perfectly well, if the machine underneath is not complete garbage.
That's exactly it. I have no real issues with it on my PC. I haven't delved in enough to perfect the use of walls and light, so use fog for pretty much everything, but I love it overall.
@everyone/anyone. Is there any word what the state of this project is? I just checked back on a campaign and see that they have added a bunch of slick functions since last I used. So I know it is still developed. Are they just going blindly forward knowing at some point WoTC will turn off the pipe that feeds them? Any news would be great. And this seems to be the most lively of the the discussions on the matter.
(EDIT: just found their discord server, so I trust answers will be had)
Just wanted to say that I stumbled on this quite by accident, and it's INCREDIBLE. It is so polished and works perfectly! I've tried Roll20, I've tried The Forge and The Foundry, etc and this is the simplest and most straight-forward way of using your DND-owned digital content and getting a game up and running quickly. I'm so impressed with it!
This is great :) I found it quite by accident and it's one of the best accidental finds ever. It has all the functionality I need, and once I got the hang of some of the small differences between the VTT I was using (Roll20) and this, I can safely say that I'm sold on it. I'll definitely be throwing some money at this creator :)
Is there the possibility that, as well as OneDrive and Dropbox, files from Google Drive can be used? I've only got GDrive, and all my stuff is on there.

I use google drive as well perfectly fine.
You have to share the map file publicly using a link in google you then paste the link into the URL field in Above VTT, and it can then access the map
Is this still being updated?
Yes I use it for my campaigns and have seen a number of minor and major releases happen slowly improving the already great functionality.
I had not seen this before, appreciate the bump to change that. I'll have to take a look - cool to see it's available.

Wow. Abovevtt is excellent. Surely wotc should just buy it, right?
I'm playing with people who want simple, easy, quick and minimal fuss. AND character sheets in D&dbeyobed. This is perfect.
Thanks devs
