As others have pointed out that is just one of the many worlds of DnD. A rough breakdown says that half the games are pure homebrew, half use some version of one of the published realms. Of that half half of those (or 1/4 of all games) use some version of Faerun. Just for the record Kara Tur and Zakhara were originally (2e) separate worlds. 3e retconned them onto Toril. I don’t know of any large 3e/4e map that includes all 3. I have seen some smaller large scale factor maps that show them along with Maztica. For 4e there was a map of much if not all of the altered Faerun but supposedly after the return it’s pretty much back to the 3e world with a few story based changes (like Baldur’s gate)
