Hey y'all, I had the idea of creating a character designed by the community! Vote for the race, class, and background for this new character, and once I have enough votes I will use the character in a Play-by-Post game! Vote for a great combo you have played, a funny combo you can come up with, or anything in-between. For now I am sticking with the base 5e choices.
What are the best character combos you have played? What is the strangest?

Do not expect people to be smart, but do not allow them to be stupid. If there is one thing I have learned it is this.
Made a Hobgoblin Wizard, ran around with a Greatsword he inherited from his master. That combined with a proficiency in light armor made it alot of fun to go in melee.
I haven't played as a player much, but my favorite has been the skill monkey this username is based on. Sevín was a half-elf rogue/ranger with the entertainer background. It was hilarious because he was a singer and was seen as a bard a lot of the time, which wasn't helped by the way I rp'd him.

A professional engineer and amateur writer who has played D&D since 2015 (started with 5e) and has been a DM more than a player. When I'm not playing god I'm usually your friendly neighborhood rogue.
From what it looks like right now it will be a tiefling/bard/folk hero. After he saved the region he was dwelling in the said thanks and treated him well for about a month, then disregarded him once more for being of demonic blood, despite what he had done for them. He was so hurt that he left his homeland and now travels around singing stories and telling tales of his adventures. Things may change though between now and the final character. I am hoping for 50, but if 25 is all I get I will stop there.

You repeat Sage on the poll, I guess the second one is Soldier.
I vote for a Outlander Gnome (Subrace to your choice) Wild Magic Sorcerer, who is really crazy (half 'cause the influence of Wild Magic on him/her, half 'cause well, he/se is a Gnome) and causes troubles everywhere he/she go, but because can't control his/her magic and when he/she try to help only one thing can happen: whatever is the problem, it will be worst. But he/she is unbelieveble good to evade danger (Level 4 Lucky Feat it's a must for both his/her own lucky against danger and death, and his/her bad luck in try to help others)
gnome, noble, barbarian, sub optimal yes, but awesome...yes. Think of him as the son of the forest gnomes chief, hence noble, he goes on diplomatic missions but suffers from a short temper.
Sorcerer has recently popped up and is now tied with bard, so I am going to wait it out a little longer until there is a definitive winner. The same is true about race and background, but those are pretty obvious as to what will win (but who knows how things may change).

I had made a half orc bard the other day for my sister to use and she loved it. She basically played it like an anime character and it was amazing.

Typical, the Tiefling being labeled as a criminal from the get go. We can do better group!
