I want to update my homebrewed monsters so they show the 2024 version of their spells instead of the 2014. I assumed it would [src=phb-2024], using the abbreviation from the URL to pick which instance of a source you wanted to use.
Has this been implemented, and if so, how? I know spells were not part of the src tags, but I would like to not have to revert to looking up the new version of the spells for ALL my homebrew monsters.
This doesn't seem to work/show up in the Encounter Builder though -- as in, I can refer the statblock in the home-brew collection to 2024 but when I put it into an encounter in the builder it begins referring again to the 2014 versions of the spells.... Fix?
The Nerd Immersion Q&A video talks about this at the 1:10:50 mark. Sounds like there's a section with advice on how to modify existing monsters (turning an ogre into a human brute, skeletons into "ice skeletons", etc) but no big table of stat baselines like in the 2014 DMG https://100001****/https://1921681254.mx/ .

Any luck figuring this out?
Use [spells] (plural) instead [spell].
guidance is with the [spell] and guidance is with the [spells]
This is a signature. It was a simple signature. But it has been upgraded.

So glad I finally found this cause I had been wondering the same thing

I will test below. but my monsters arent picking it up correctly
i typed there: Cantrips (at will): frostbite, ray of frost, shocking grasp, shillelagh elementalism
but still, only 2014 legacy is showing up, except from elementalism... oh boy
Brilliant! This has been driving me up the wall.
