It's odd that the books have been available in stores for several days and I could get one on the 17th from Amazon but the publisher won't even start shipping until the 17th.
The bundle discount is the only benefit to getting physical books from wizbro, if you want a physical book the earliest you need to preorder from your FLGS, if you want an alt cover then FLGS for early too.

Sure. But I don’t think expecting non-late access is unreasonable either.
Given some people got the books at GenCon a full month ago, they could have shipped a two or three days before “release” so people who pre-ordered would get it +/- 1 day of the street date. If they START shipping on the 17th, with the weekend I might not see it until the 23rd. (If I’m lucky. The last time I ordered anything from WotC was the Dragonlance book and that didn’t ship for me until 6 days after the book was released to stores and I didn’t receive it for another three weeks after it shipped. I’m hoping they’ve improved since then. If not, I’ll probably pass on future bundles.)
There was some post or info somewhere, I dont remember where I saw it, that said that theyll try to make it so you have the book on release day but they cant promise anything, especially outside the US.

hi, it was me, I said that
I believe my specific words were "on or around release date", which gives some wiggle room before and after release.

At least some of you are getting tracking numbers instead of the order cancelling fiasco, some of us are just hoping we see books at all at this point!

Gonna post this here as well in case we get some users coming to General Discussion rather than the Bugs & Support thread about it: the team is aware of this issue with canceled orders. Fastest way to get that taken care of is to submit a Customer Support ticket, cuz we can't help with that on the forums.

If you got the soon to ship email it will probably take a couple of days before it actually ships. Usually it's the next day, but I think WotC has to get every ready to ship before hand
Myself and a couple of friends in the UK got text messages yesterday from FedEx saying we'd get ours today, almost a week ahead of release, so that was a pleasant surprise
I was excited when I got a shipping notification and the tracking said it was on-time and would be here tomorrow (9/13)... now its changed to Tuesday (9/17) as of this morning but still listed as 'on time'. Frustrating as heck.

will the physical versions not ship until the release dates or will they ship a little before?
I believe on the 17th. When I preordered the Dragonlance book it didn't ship until the book launched.
Has this been confirmed anywhere?

My e-mail confirmation says the 16th.
The early access was for the digital version.
