If I want to make homebrew and share it with players in a campaign as the DM so that they can use it like any normal item or spell, what subscription is that behind/how would I do it? I've looked and read plenty and somehow can't find the answer to this question, and it doesn't seem anyone's asked it. I'm confused mainly by what 'sharing homebrew' means in different contexts. I don't particularly care about sharing my homebrew with random people publicly.

my understanding is that you can share your homebrew stuff with the members of your campaign only. As far as seeing what has been published by others and being able to use and share that content, would require a subscription.
I was hoping to have the spells viewable for my players even as just a reference, as I intend for it to be a spell attached to a magic item only.
I'm well aware that there's currently no support for homebrew spells to be assigned to homebrew magic items, but I was hoping to work around that by simply creating the spell anyway and letting my players view its details via direct link.
All the characters with this issue are joined to the campaign, and the toggle is blue and allowed for them. Still, spells do not show up in the 'add spells' category, and spell tags are correct. I can send screenshots.

There have been some other issues with sharing. Someone said they turned sharing off and on and others have said leaving and joining campaign again has worked for them.

It is confusing that a homebrew spell that is not publicly shared shows up in the Character Builder, but not under Spells > Browse Homebrew Spells. At the least, "Browse Homebrew Spells" should be changed to "Browse Public Homebrew Spells", although it would be preferable that private homebrew spells would just show up there, too, for the creator and anyone in their campaigns.
You might want to make a new thread about that, but I totally agree. The biggest issue with Beyond that I've seen is the ambiguity relating to public and private sharing. Luckily we've got great mods interacting with the users to make things more clear.

Private homebrew can always being shared without subscription within a campaign. Access to the public homebrew require one of the two subscriptions.
And how can I do that? I haven't been able to use homebrew spells in character sheets in a campagin.
Make sure that your homebrew spells have the tags for the classes you players are using. If not, let me know.

Yep, thats' the same issue I've been having. Tags are on.
Hi, same problem for me.
Two things are needed for the players to use the private homebrew:
1) Join the campaign.
2) Allow the homebrew in the first page of the character editor (the toggle has to be blue).

Voltarity, please send me screenshots of the editor page of one of your spell via PM.
Deactivating and reactivating characters in a campaign who joined before the spell was created solves the issue.
