We’re a casual D&D group focused on short one-shots and modules, but we’re planning to build up towards a longer-term campaign featuring Vecna: Eve of Ruin with returning characters from previous adventures. So the plan is for a long-term commitment. First location will be Eberron. This is a great fit if you enjoy variety and don’t mind exploring different realms!
Details:
We play using Foundry VTT and communicate via Discord.
I’m a newer DM, so the focus is on learning, having fun, and keeping things relaxed.
We’ll likely meet every other Sunday at 9 AM Central, for about 3-4 hours, but we can be flexible with the time if needed.
We value respect and inclusivity—everyone’s boundaries will be honored, and safety tools will be in place.
If you’re interested or have any questions, feel free to reach out. We’d love to have you join us!
I do enjoy the premise of new players and a more relaxed game. I do wonder on the lack of real details here. For example how many people are you seeking. For how long are you looking for them? Outside of how relaxed you would like the games to be are there any other expectations you're looking at?
Quick update just trying to find 1 or 2 players and planning on starting the 24th of this month and my Discord is Armorty or Armorty#7905. I was not expecting so many people so will need some time to figure out who to pick. Thanks!
Still looking and asking my group there opinion but here are some questions if still interested: Tell more about yourself like general personality, age, what you like about DnD, what you don't like to see in D&D, what would other players you have played in the pat would say?
general info: I am a 26 year old male looking to play some DnD! I’m flexible when it comes to the needs of the group and I’m all for trying out different approaches to encounters. I enjoy combat and interesting encounters like puzzles in DnD campaigns or one shots. Roleplaying is obviously a must but voice acting isn’t my style at all. Steady character and gear progression is essential. Other people I’ve played with would say that I’m a decent addition to their group because I’m enthusiastic although since I’m not huge into voice acting heavy roleplaying groups would say that it’s hard for me to stay in “character”

I like to play a Fighter, Sorcerer and Barbarian but can adapt to whatever campaign I’m a part of!
I would be interested in joining on this adventure.
About myself, I'm a 20 year-old Female who has played some DnD, Not enough to say that I am not a newbie yet, and I tend to be a little experimental with my play, at least in my opinion. I in the past at least, have been hesitant and on the quieter side with speaking, especially online with others, but have been working on my confidence for such. I do like to be creative with my characters and names and love creating stories and consider myself a bit of an author and puzzle solver. I don't yet have a favored class/species and am willing to try new things and see how they go.
I'm 52 and have been playing off and on for about 40 yrs. Mostly pen and paper but have played a in a few campaigns online. I enjoy a compelling story doesn't matter if it is home brew or a published mod. Inter party conflict is something I don't care for...I'm looking to have a good time. Alignment is important to roleplay but in the end the party needs to act towards a common goal and not fight each other. If a magic item can be of use to a specific PC then let that person decide if their Character wants the item or have system set up out of game to resolve these types of issues. Even if a PC is an evil alignment it shouldn't be the source of party conflict. A lot of times it is a matter of perspective and being too rigid can be off putting to say the least. In the past I've found it to lead to fun banter between PC's and can be good for comic relief. DM's would probably say that I sometimes take them by surprise and don't always follow the expected path. Other players would say that I play my alignment either a Lawful Good Paladin or Oath Breaker but I treat the other PC's as family regardless of their alignment. I have a dark sarcastic humor that can be a little dry and catch people off guard. Favorite class is Paladin or any martial class really. I've played almost every class at one point or another and try to pick something that is beneficial to the group that matches my playstyle.
