Greetings! I am searching for four to five brave souls to take on an adventure through the classic D&D setting of Greyhawk. Knowledge of the setting is not required; I am writing a player’s guide with the need-to-know information to create a character for the campaign. Just know that the setting is high medieval fantasy in the same vein as Lord of the Rings, albeit with magic being a bit more prevalent (though no less wondrous).

This will be a proactive campaign; basically, the players’ characters’ goals will be the driving force of the story. Instead of just “Evil guy does evil thing, good guys react” (though there will be some of this), you will come up with short-, medium-, and long-term goals for your characters, and I will put obstacles in your way to overcome to achieve them, weaving them all together to form the story.

We would meet most Tuesday evenings at 7:00 PM CST and go until around 10:00 PM (or later, especially if we’re in combat). I say most Tuesday evenings because I know from past experiences that if I did every week I would burn out. So, on the last Tuesday of every month we will take a break, giving me some time to rest and prepare.

We would use Discord for voice and D&D Beyond for character sheets and maps. We will be using the 2024 5e rules exclusively for the sake of consistency. I own the books and have a Master subscription so I can share the content with you. We will start at level 1 (you will reach level 3 fairly quickly) and we will go until our story is done, be that at level 10 or level 20. This will hopefully be a multi-year campaign, but I hesitate to promise an exact stopping point.
