TL;DR, Seeking Players for a new rp forward campaign I am running
Eyrebrin is a harsh land filled with even harsher people. Ruled by a series of Monarchies, Oligarcies, and Dictaterships it is deverse in bith culture and populus. Many of the "Monsterous" races have found a quiet middle ground with the others and thouhg they live seperate there is still some hate in the world...monsters do need to eat and knights must slay dragons. Througout this land you will face challenges, overcome obsticals and make both friends and enemies.
"*A thousand years ago The Calling happened. The great horn was sounded and the gates of the heaves and hells flew open. At first it was chaos, demons and devils ran rampant, angels and deva struggling under their oaths to help us. Dark days, many were lost and those that were lucky were never the same again, then 6 heros emerged. A Tiefling by the name of Ba Thrut. With his ax and shield he held the line, defended those under his charge and forged forward for mortals, Shuu the Crimson, a black dragon who was more inclined to a life of scholarly pursuit than pillaging and killing used her magics and called her upon draconic abilities to aid us, a Dwarf named Nili, who’s cunning was matched only by her stratagem, Islan and Marketh, twins who had made a name for themselves with their magic and their skills on the battlefield fighting as one mind in two bodies and finally a Deva named Philomina, it was her discovery and blessing that allowed them to repeal the hordes and slay the fiends. Together they helped rally the armies of mortals and closed the gates, but the price was steep, the first to suffer were the dragons, being so powerful demons took to them first, slaying the mighty beasts and taking their bodies as vessels and now only 4 are rumored to remain. The world we now inhabit is rife with monsters, and devils who slipped through before the gates closed...*"
Greetings and Salutations! I am looking for 4-5 players for a homebrew campaign! I have worked on this world off and on for a few years and am looking to embark on a quest of epic proportions, or one of shenanigans and mayhem! If you have interest please respond with the following in a PM! I have not decided wether to use the 2024 rules or the 2014 rules so once players are selected there will be a discussion in which version we will use.
Homebrew high fantasy, there are gunpowder weapons as well as “magical-technology”. All races and classes are allowed, as well as most official dnd content. Homebrew is allowed upon review. This game does have dark elements and I am looking for people within my own age range so it is 20+ only.
• Favorite Class
• Favorite dnd memory
• Age and Pronouns
•If your character was given the choice between killing one person, knowing it would doom an entire town to death or letting them live what would they choose. ( this person has committed many atrocities however they are the only reason a town has a peaceful life )
• Favorite Class- hard to pick but I'd say either Rangers or Warlocks
• Favorite dnd memory- this was a homebrew campaign I was in a few years back. My ranger had just died in combat, when the battle was over his dog companion (who I had stupidly named after my IRL dog, I was a first time dnd player) came over and laid on his corpse. A hitherto unknown archfey that had been watching over us then intervened, took the dog's life and used it to revive my ranger. Ranger wakes up, holding his lifeless dog and breaks down. Dog's body dissolves into sparkling lights and reincorporates a few feet away, alive and well. Turns out she wasn't exactly a dog. She was a fey dog spirit that had come to this world because she's ranger's spirit animal and will always be a with him. Ranger now knows the Find Familiar spell. Whole table is in tears though after the DM finished narrating all that. Haha
• Age and Pronouns- 30 (he/him)
•If your character was given the choice between killing one person, knowing it would doom an entire town to death or letting them live what would they choose. ( this person has committed many atrocities however they are the only reason a town has a peaceful life ) If it's just up to my character, probably let them live. But if this person has crossed my character's Warlock Patron though... might not be up to my character...
hey man i have a group of 6 who's dm just quit. we have been playing for like 2 months now and we play on thursdays 7pm est, we need a replacement. if this works for you shoot me a private mesage so i can send you my discord.
Favorite Class: It's so hard to pick because I've played most and adore them in their own ways. If I HAD to pick one, it would probably be on the tankier side of a fighter or paladin.
Age and Pronouns: I am 27 and go by she/her
favorite dnd memory: This happened recently in a curse of strahd campaign I'm in. There was a big (in-character) group fight about people's motivations on being in Barovia. It was beautiful roleplaying from everyone and seeing everyone play their characters so well always fills me with joy. I also love when groups don't always get along because it's just how things are, not everyone gets along and seeing an opportunity for people to roleplay deeply is always a good time. The best part of it all was in between the arguing, another PC would be like "So what's Meldhor doing?" and it would cut to that PC just eating a slim jim. It was SO funny and really helped avoid negative character bleed.
It's hard to say honestly whether or not my character would kill them. I have played many spectrums of characters with differing morals. Some of my characters would, and some would with hesitation. The other side would absolutely refuse, so I think it really depends on the character and the situations they would have been through. I've roleplayed characters who would but after some time, would definitely question doing something of the sort.
I'm cautiously interested. You beginner friendly? I've technically played before but it's been awhile. Also, you thinking RP heavy? I want to get into more RP but I need practice.
Favorite Class: I tend to like barbarian though I haven't really tried much else. It allows for me to make stupid decisions.
Favorite DnD Memory: I made a stupid mistake, split up in a maze. A companion then was next to death, I was able to rush to the help, save their character, and run to escape with them. felt satisfying to have such a big impact.
Age/Pronouns: 24, He/Him
The Choice: I don't have much RP experience so I'd tend to lean towards the emotionless logic or my personal decision. I'd have my character leave the man to preserve the town.
