We've experimented with giving away free things to our subscribers over the last year and the feedback has been so positive that we've not only decided to keep creating things to give to you, but we're committing to doing so every month!
Whoah! Free things? What do I need to do to qualify?
When you subscribe, you will automatically be gifted the subscriber perk(s) for that month and will continue to receive them monthly while you are subscribed.
You won't receive perks from previous months when you weren't subscribed.
We're not going to say that there will never be a way to access them in the future, but for now, if you're not subscribed and miss out on the subscriber perks for a specific month, they're gone.

Where do I see my subscriber perks?
To see all of the character sheet backgrounds or character portrait frames you have collected, you can go to your character sheet and see the options that are now available to you. When you're looking at your character sheet, just click on the character name (or the little gear icon next to it) and the side panel will open up. From there, you can select Change Frame,Change Backdrop, Change Theme, as well as many other options!
To see all of the dice sets that you have collected, you can head over to the My Dice page of the site and choose which dice to use. The My Dice page can be found in the Collections part of the menu at the top of the page.
We don't currently have a single page that displays the subscriber perks you've received, but that might be something we add in the future.

Can I ask for clarity, it says you have to maintain the subscription to access the perks. If you stop your subscription for a time then re activate it will the perks you unlocked previously also reactivate or are they lost?
Well - considering I would be subscribed anyway... this is nice. The digital dice skins I couldn't care less about because I never use the digital dice - but the backgrounds and frames are very welcome.

I'd like to make sure that I have correctly understood.... It sounds like subscribers perks are a monthly series of unlockables? If a user has an active subscription, that user's account can access any perks that the account has unlocked during their subscription duration. But even if a user has unlocked certain perks, access to perks, overall, is dependent on a currently active sub. Basically, it flows like:
free account ? --> perks are inaccessible
subscription account ? ---> perks are accessible â—‹ perks are accessible ? ---> account can use any unlocked perks previously & currently accrued
I'm assuming that these are *not* shared like compendium/character creator content? So, my players will not be able to use these portrait frames and backdrops through my access?
It's a start, I guess. But maybe at least feature 1 new and 3 from vault? Then when the year ends, all 12 (errrr 8, since this started MAY) "new" frames will be part of the vault as well for next year. So us who might already have whatever it is, at least gets something shiny x)

What you should do, is have a collection of ALL the old backdrops and frames, and let a sub pick their monthly allowance from those to unlock.
I mean for those of us that are subbed and already preorder everything, this first month was a huge miss. For me it's not even a perk, more of an annoyance to think you're getting something and then don't.

I believe it is possible to share it indirectly with anyone. Have someone join a campaign that you are in, and have them join with a character that they want to obtain the background and frame, and then have them unclaim their character. Then you need to claim their character, give their character the background and frame, and then unclaim it. Once the other person reclaim their character, I believe the frame and background should stay on the character sheet.

Technically they already can but it requires a lot of fiddling with being in the same campaign, unassigning, claiming, modifying, unassigning, claiming, etc. And then they only have it for that character. It's a neat perk for a DM who has everything and wants to share something with their group but it takes a lot of work and coordination to get done.

No, that's not how it works. "You won't receive perks from previous months, where you weren't subscribed." You only get the specific monthly perks for the specific months during which you were subscribed, determined at the start of each month - is how I read it.
But it sounds like all of this content comes from previous pre-order bonuses? I've been a subscriber since day one, and I have pre-ordered everything since you began doing it, so it sounds like nothing new for me?
Not trying to come off as entitled or anything - I'm a huge fan of the service, and obviously I get a lot of value from it and what I continue to buy/pay for, but as a suggestion maybe throw a little something new in there each month?

Just have a current D&D Beyond subscription (either Hero or Master) during that month.
That's it - we'll do the rest!
If you're not currently subscribed, and spot a subscriber gift that you really want, you can still claim it by subscribing any time during that month.
The perks are the same for both Hero and Master level subscriptions.
What sort of things do I get?
Subscriber perks are ways of customizing your character sheet and playing experience.
We'll be announcing each month what the subscriber gift is. Currently, we're planning on the gift pool including:

Just a thought, but as a long time subscriber I would like to see some 'Themed" PDF sheets for characters, the one you have is old and tired.
