Same here - it seems weird that the more you spend and pre-order, the less benefit you get. (I can’t say it’s a big deal - it’s a new bonus, but was pretty disappointing to find out that I was just mostly given stuff I already have.)
Please take this as constructive criticism (not meaning to be rude). I love the idea of a perk program for subscribers. That said, I have some concerns:
1) I can’t actually tell what the perks are. Which 4 frames? Which 5 backgrounds?
2) As others have pointed out, some clarity would be nice on what happens to these perks if we unsubscribe. Are they just gone? Or are they unlocked permanently for our accounts for the months we were subscribed?
3) Piggybacking off 2. This sounds neat for new subscribers. But for people that have had an active subscription since the birth of DDB and have pre-ordered most books, already having the frames and (maybe?) the backgrounds, there are two issues. One, not really getting anything we didn’t already have. Two, what happens if we unsubscribe at some point? Is the system smart enough to know I had those things before this perk program went into place, or will I lose access to those things now that they are part of the perk program?
"You must maintain an active subscription to use these perks."
Keep in mind users. You are users, you don't own anything you give them money for. It's not limited to rewards that are pulled if you stop giving them money. If the entire site goes belly up you'll very possibly be out any money you have paid to unlock books.
Buy hard copy books at your local gaming store (or even Amazon) if you care about actually owning content.

You know you can just save webpages too for private use, right? It is far easier to preserve and share digital information than physical books. It pretty easy to just save all the webpages of the compendium content into a folder, and then copy that folder to as many devices as you want so you can read at your own leisure later, and you can access all that information anytime without carrying a bookshelf on your shoulders and breaking your back.
Additionally, if you know any friendly Legendary-Master GMs, you can smooch off of them by joining their campaign and download all content onto Beyond's app on an old phone or tablet. As long as you disconnect the old device from the internet, I am pretty sure the app will never know if you are still in the campaign with content sharing or not, and I believe you will retain access to that information forever.
That's all fine, but you know what would really keep me subscribing and recommending you?
Resolving a few of the MANY MANY systems that don't work.
There are basic implementations that have been waiting for fixes for literally years. You need to focus on your core competencies: making a web interface for managing game mechanics. Everything else you do derives from that.
You are a d&D advice column or video production company, or a website for decorating character sheets. You need to focus on making what you actually sold us work better. Here is a hot tip: hire more programmers and pay them well. I know a few programmers who would have loved to work for you, but simply couldn't afford to on the salaries you offer.
Would be shocking if you did because there are no new dice options for this month's subscriber perks.

Nice!
If you are the dm in a campaign you can directly edit your players sheets to add these perks. No unassigning and claiming required.
Still a pain unless they can look at their character on your login somehow though since you have to do it for them.
Also I am looking forward to some of the subscriber exclusive items to be released!
Oh, I haven't had a group for awhile so this must've been a new change since I last tried it.

Some people in this thread need to learn you don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

Way Cool!! :)))
Hey, a little extra is nice.
I was happy with the basic set up too.
Looking forward to dice every now and then, and a cool frame.
Thanks!!

I’m happy for the people who haven’t gotten these before to unlock them, congratulations guys.
However as one of the people who has collected almost all of these only missing out in Xanathar’s I’m bummed out that there is nothing new for me.
The sparkly frame doesn't make your character any less boring....damn.

I also see only the Subscriber Backdrops, not the "Subscriber Frames" (if that's what they're called). Thanks for the perks!

If you subscribed this month do you get the perks? Or did you have to be subscribed last month to qualify?

Sounds great!! I'll wait for my perks.

Great news for people like me, since I didn`t preorder much.
But I can understand that this can be pretty disappointing for some of the long term supporters of DnD Beyond.
I hope they will throw in some new stuff for them.

Is there a way to see backdrops/frames on the app? I dont use the desktop version much when i’m the character.
