Hello! Let me start out by stating I greatly appreciate the time and effort that goes into the Twitch Dev Updates. That said, I do have some constructive criticism. I've noticed that I'm not quite as excited for the Dev Updates as I used to be and asked myself why.
1) I feel like we rush through the actual Dev Update portion to get to an interview (or a mini-RPG session which, while not a horrible idea, isn't what I came to see). I miss getting the 10,000 ft view of the challenges your team is working to resolve and the ideas you would like to pursue but need to overcome obstacles A, B, and maybe C. It feels more like a 1,000,000 ft reminder of a checklist with a header and maybe a quick sub-title. It is, in itself, an obstacle to an interview (which is cool!) .
2) If you are listening more than watching, there is no indication that a giveaway is occurring. Simple fix: "Hey, looks like we've got a giveaway! Enter your code now!" and then a verbal congratulations to the winner. After all, if we're busy watching chat for the notice of a giveaway and/or winner, how much attention are we paying to what you're saying in stream? I am on Twitch a lot these days. Engaging with chat outside of the chat window makes a huge difference.
3) In the past, the Dev Update was an hour that had as much as 15-20 minutes of actual dev update followed by questions from Chat. Today, I saw a lot of questions in chat that were never addressed and the stream is ending after about 30 minutes. I get this takes time away from other work. I get that you are squeezing as much as you can into this new format. Back to chat interaction, while you can't address every question, I noticed some very good ones that were lost to time constraints.
Again, I enjoy having an inside look. It's fun to be a "part" of what you're doing. It's great to hear from others on the team, too. I just feel like we've lost the Dev Update to a brief "newscast" followed by an interview, interspersed with questions asked early on in chat. Do what you're doing now, then let your interviewee go, and give us someone to address as many questions as possible for 20-30 minutes afterwards.
Thanks again for another link to an hour plus long video!!! Still not going to watch it. I guess I just will give up on hoping the staff of Dndbeyond could put a summary in writing and let people watch the video if they really want to dive deep. I just get to be pleasantly surprised when something new happens.
As far as criticism goes, I love how the takeaway from the feedback in earlier threads of "We would like more information on the forums" was received as "We will give LESS feedback on the forums"
Hi folks! The post gets updated with the overview slide and YouTube VOD when they are both available. This week that happened over the weekend, so it's just getting updated today (Monday). You can find the YouTube VOD link and the overview slide in the first post now as usual. :)

I'm enjoying the product. Keep it going.

where did the slide go? Please give us back the "this is what we cover" slide
This sums up my feelings exactly.

Totally agree with all the above points from the posters.

Thank you, now I know I'll keep quiet in the future.
