Yes, but I thought they would still be available as "archived" if your character was created before they were retired from playtest? Wasn't that the point? If they were not available then why would I still have access to the lower level archived content?

The whole UA doesn’t get protected for you, only the stuff already on your character is protected for you. You have access to anything already attached to you character including spells already learned, and all features related to the subclass if that was already chosen. Archived spells not already added to the character are inaccessible going forward. You will have to create a private homebrew version of those archived spells for your own use. (If you need help with that PM me and I’ll walk you through it.)
They might, maybe, possibly keep something from this UA, but the folks who loved it were called a “very vocal minority” so they may very well not.
If you want the cliff’s notes version:
There will be no Psionicist class, they are just making “Psionic Subclasses” for all of the regular classes this edition. And Psionics will not have its own mechanic with its own abilities this edition either, it will be handled through Spellcasting like Wizards, Bards, Clerics, Druids, etc all use.
DDB only sells WotC publications. WotC is the company that actually publishes D&D. If WotC ever publishes any solo adventures then I’m sure DDB will sell them.
Wizards of the Coast recently released Psionic Options Revisited which updated several Unearthed Arcana subclasses as well as abandoned several spells. We are happy to work with WotC to keep content up to date, as well as keep our community informed about any changes taking place. ~
~ For the spells that are being archived or updated (Ego Whip, Id Insinuation, Intellect Fortress, Mental Barrier, Mind Silver, Mind Thrust, Psionic Blast, Psychic Crush, and Thought Shield), the older version of the spells will have "archived" added to their names, and once the new UA is released those old spells will be removed. We suggest you make a copy of it now in your homebrew and make sure to keep it in your private collection if you would like access to those spells. ~
~ We wanted to give everyone a heads up and time to prepare before the updates happen next week. If you have any questions, or need any help creating homebrew content, our forums are the best place to get help!
Only Intellect Fortress, Mind Sliver, & Mind Thrust got new updated versions in UA so far... Id Insinuation didn't get a new version, but is still available when I build a new character. Is it supposed to go away entirely or should we expect to see a new version at some point?
My group allows UA content, but if Id Insinuation is being deprecated\pulled rather than updated, it seems inappropriate to include in my new builds... Is this spell dead, or just awaiting an update?
Hi there, I've had a quick look and can confirm that Id Insinuation has indeed been archived. You're possibly seeing a homebrew copy someone you share a campaign with has made. You can verify this yourself by searching for the spells:
My character chose Mind Sliver for one of his cantrips and it's been showing archived for some time.
Now there is a new version in Tasha's CoE, which I could learn. The spell is the same, but some wordings have changed a little. However, I cannot get rid of the Archived version on my spellbook, even if I clear all my spells and go through the character creation process, I'm still stuck with the old version of this spell in my prepared spells list. And it doesn't even count against my three cantrip maximum, but I can have three + the old Mind Sliver at all times.
Congratulations of Tasha's Cauldron of Everything! I've enjoyed reading my copy and am delighted by so much. I must say, however, that I'm really very disappointed and a bit annoyed that you opted to remove the psionic wizard class option. To what class, if not the wizard, would psionics truly belong? (...unless it was its own class, of course). I agree that the UA Wizard/Psionics mix was overpowered in some ways and needed to be tweaked, but not to prioritize what is inherently an intelligence-based subclass for the wizard seems unfathomable to me. Is there somewhere where this decision is explained? Can you point me to it? If it doesn't exist, can you explain this choice?

One, WotC has nothing to do with Beyond so you would have to forward this question to them on their social media where they actually monitor it.
Two, Beyond has no say in what content is or is not put into the books due to being effectively an online bookstore with really nifty tools to use those books for.
Three, psionics can belong to multiple classes (as shown by fighter, rogue, and sorcerer getting it) since it is a power "innate to within" that can be studied.
Four, WotC very rarely, if ever, explains their reasoning for any choice they ever make so good luck getting an answer for it.
and Five, just because something is Int based doesn't mean it should belong to Wizard. It could just as easily belong to Artificer.

Wizards and Beyond are separate entities. You want to make sure you are leaving feedback in the right place, and a simple Google search will tell you whether two business entities are related or separate. I would not leave feedback meant for Wizards on Beyond's forums, just as I would not leave feedback for Wizards through your local book/game store. Additionally, you want to leave feedback in a highly visible place with heavy traffic: Twitter and Facebook are some of the best examples of that; regular forums on the other hand are pisspoor in visibility and traffic. Forums are good way to reach whoever manages the forums, but it is not going to get much visibility outside of those who manage it.
In regards to stuff about subclasses, magic items, UA, and other information about D&D, you want to leave that feedback for Wizards, not Beyond. Wizards own D&D's intellectual property, and Beyond only has a license to it. Wizard's D&D site also releases limited time surveys periodically to collect feedback on recent UA content, so make sure you check their site every once in a while. You can also just type in "Why some unearthed arcana gets dropped?" on Google, and one of the top results will take you to Wizards' D&D site explaining the general reasons.
In regards to UA being archived on Beyond, Beyond is under obligation to Wizards to remove archived UA content. Again, Beyond has no say in this matter as this is Wizard's intellectual property.

As per Lauren's post, any content that is already in use will remain with your character.
If your character had already learned the Psionic Blast spell, they would still have access to it.
Once content is archived, it is no longer available to add to a character.

Ah, I see now Stormknight. Thanks for the clarification.

There is no upcoming UA. The UAs have come and are almost gone, there will be in a new book coming out in November.

Any spell you can access still that is not appearing in search results has likely been copied as a homebrew item and is being shared with you.
