"Yes certainly, I think we should be able to find what you need," Jinx replies still standing facing the druid before turning to Lore. "Thank you for your council and I hope we can depend on your help in the future," she adds nodded at the elf. "May I trouble you one last time to ask where would be the best place to find what guardian Snowhunter is searching for or possible the guardians might also have some healing potions they could give us now before searching for the sage and the temple," she says with a hopeful tone and expression.

Sometimes a Nat 1 tells a better story than a Nat 20 ever could.
[Scene Conclusion] OOC: Awesome! Let’s keep it going! It seems that the agreed upon first objective will be to explore the Gridori temple, so our next scene will take place with the party headed there. However, before we get to that part let’s talk about some stuff: If you want to buy things in the market, make a post here in this thread with a list of anything you decide to buy (see what’s available below). Just list the item, and its price. If there is something you want to buy that isn’t listed, then your character will have to find it, and its price will likely be 1.5x greater for its rarity. So it’s up to you if you think it’s worth it. Furthermore, on a different note, we’ll assume that the information on the map Faen received is shared with the party.
Lore directs Dmetrie and Jinx to the woof elf twins who were patiently waiting for them to finish their conversation. The two will lead the group to the market where they can purchase items for the journey into the woods. The wood elf market has most standard supplies:. Any simple weapon, medium armor, or light armor is available for its normal price. All adventuring gear that is under 20gp is available. Any set of artisan’s tools is available; additionally, one can find herbalism kits and navigators tools as well.
The map that Faen received is simple, yet easily understandable. The map shows three roads branching from the wood elf town showing travel to be either north, south-east, or east. There are four prominent symbols:
The northern road has a path that leads to a temple. The location is marked with a unicorn head.
The south-east road leads to a different town. The location is marked with a pair of crossed arrows.
The east road leads to a temple. The location is marked with the head of a deer.
The east road leads to another town. The location is marked with the head of a lion.
If any clarifications need to be made about the information above, let’s clarify it OOC, and in our private message group, please. Again, if you want to get items before you leave town, post here what you purchase. If you do not want to buy anything, and you’re ready to move on, then please also make a post saying “I’m ready!” After we’ve sorted this bit out, I’ll make a post that introduces the next scene of the adventure.
With the Twin Elves help Dmitrei was able to find a basic Herbalism Kit to replace the one he forgot. He spent about half his money, 5GP, on it but knows that it could be useful down the road. With the kit bought and map obtained Dmitrei is ready to head towards the temple.
"Well I expected this to be a bit more...fancy." Faen huffs, a little disappointed. She stores the map in her pack and stands up, brushing the dirt of her clothes. She moves away from the wall and begins making her way back down to the other. Still paying little attention to her surroundings, she runs face first into Thokk, nearly falling over from the collision and grabs his arm to catch herself. She look up at him as though its her first time seeing the half-orc.
"Oh! Hello..um Thokk was it? I'm terribly sorry for bumping you. I was just about to go back downstairs and speak to the other guardians. Maybe do some shopping. I need to pick up some crossbow bolts and maybe some books about the surrounding lands or maybe a blank one to write some notes in. Hmm perhaps I should get my own dragonchess set to practice with in case I meet that strange man again. Maybe some vials or flasks? Uh. I'm rambling. Sorry. Did you need something?"
Although Jinx doesn't need anything she's keen to window shop in the village with her companion in the druid. Dmitrie Snowhunter reminds her of a friend back home on the mountain whom was always wiser than her and one step ahead of everyone else it seemed. She hopes that Thokk will prove a better fighter than diplomat and is curious to get to know the elf who seems distracted but seems a good sort. As she walks through the mainly elven settlement she's wide-eyed at the goods and services being provided. Although her tribe live in the mountain they often are above it but only on patrol. This open air market is a wondered to her having only been the first dominated by elves she's ever been too although her tutor was an elf, a high elf she recalls. Hopefully they will be able to find aid as the venture on for the perilous journey ahead.
OOC: Also say Jinx was looking for a potions shop to get an idea of how much the potions of healing are going for these days should i base them on PHb costs correct? BTW is there ANYway Lore or the twins would have given them a potion of healing? *pretty please*

OOC: Maybe... See below. ;)
[Jinx and Dmitrie] The wood elf market isn’t much of a sprawl, but there are several small shop buildings and vendor stalls to buy from. While Dmitrie and Jinx are searching for supplies they come to a small, child-size cart. Standing roughly two and a half feet tall is a man with a bushy blonde beard, a coat, and a tall flower-like hat. Nearby, his mule is crunching on some oats. He sees Dmitrie and Jinx eyeing his herb collecting supplies, and without saying anything wraps them in leather and sells them to the northerner for five gold pieces. As the transaction is made, he sees the dwarf found his small crate of healing tonics. Marked at 50 gold each. “Sorry, friend.” He says, his voice is nasally and soft, a little unexpected for his gruff appearance. “Can’t give much of a discount there. If you’re looking for work, I can exchange them for your service. Any interest in making a delivery for me?” The forest gnome rests his hands on his portly belly awaiting an answer.
[Thokk and Faen]
Faen and Thokk are speaking to each other just outside the chamber where they met with Lore. Jinx and Dimitrie have gone to the market. Both of them notice one of the wood elf twins watching them intently. She doesn’t speak, just waits to see what they do.
Thokk's face turns a bit purple when Faen talks to him, "um....erm...I wanted to ask about..your...hobbies?" Thokk manages to get out, avoiding eye contact. He sees the wood elf standing there and feels a bit uncomfortable. "I'll go shopping..with you" he says, "We can talk later about... things."
[Jinx and Dmitrei] "East and then back. There's a human settlement near the boarder of the riverlands--" The forest gnome raises a hand to his brow and looks up toward the mid-afternoon sun. "--you'd get there by nightfall if you left tomorrow morning."
"Oh. Okay then. Lets go now I-I don't really like how the other one is looking at me right now." Faen turns and leaves the building, avoiding the remaining twin, and begins seraching for some shops. At the shops she is going to buy 2 vials for 1gp each, a dragonchess set for 1gp, a case for the map for 1gp, about 5 candles for 1 cp each, and 5 pieces of chalk each 1 cp as well. As they walk about Faen begins speaking.
"To answer your earlier question Thokk, now that I think about it I do not believe I have many hobbies. I used to read quite a bit, practiced calligraphy, painting and tended to plants for much of my life, as that is what was expected of me by my father. I took several lessons in proper etiquette and speaking. Not to mention the art of reading people, politics and the tricks surrounding them that one such as myself was expected to know, though I never really caught on like father wanted me to, so he often had me take longer lessons then my siblings." Faen stops in her tracks, face thoughtful. Slowly she tilts her head to the side.
"You know, if my father didn't approve of it, I never got to really do anything outside of my studies expect eat and mediate, plus I was rarely let out of the house except when I had to visi-. No wait. You what never mind not important. Leave the old dogs buried where they should be as they say. People say that right? Anyway enough about me for right now. Why don't you tell me about yourself Thokk?"
After Thokk responds Faen will try and find her way back to the two others. She's all ready to go.
"Well, I never had a father" he says, "He died before I was born, but my mother was a strong woman, and did whatever she could so I would live. I grew up with a large family, even if they weren't blood relatives, they were still family. I had lots of aunt's, uncle's, and cousins. A lot of my life was training, but I loved storytime when I was a child. I would often wanders about the ship to hear more stories before I went to bed."
The market isn't very large. Thokk and Faen quickly find their companions speaking with a forest gnome about some matter. For a moment, when the gnome sees Thokk approaching, he becomes a little tense. A few beads of sweat form just above his bushy eyebrows. He still waits for Dmitrie and Jinx to respond to his proposition.
“Hmm...well we are in a hurry to get somewhere. If it’s on our way I don’t see why not but we do have two other companions to ask first. Oh, here they are.”
Dmitrei will wave over Thokk and Faen
”So we thought that getting some healing tonics would be good for the journey. However, they’re expensive but the kind gnome here has offered them as payment for a delivery. We’d take what needs to delivered to a settlement east near the river lands and then back. I didn’t want to agree without asking you guys first. Do you guys think it worth delaying the journey to the temple by a day?”
Thokk waves back and jogs over leading Faen so she doesn't get left behind. He looks at snow and jinx and takes a deep breath.
"I'm sorry," he says "My anger will sometimes control me and I work to control it. It won't happen again.... probably." He then looks at the small man and squints at him. He walks over till he's almost right over him and then squats down till he's head hight above him. He cracks his neck and shows the pirate brand on his neck. "How far off course is it from the temple" he says looking back to snow, and watches the man to see how he reacts. He tries to contain the laughter already building from the scared face of the small man.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
OOC: As a matter of principle as a person and player I trust NPCs and PCs until they give me and my character a reason to question them.
"Although I am keen to purchase health potions I think our purposes is clear. We are better served to make our way to the temple now without an errand charged to us by a stranger," Jinx replies to guardian Snowhunter. "If we're all ready shall we get underway," she asks the others waiting for their reply.
Jinx is pointedly not engaging with Thokk but is observant of his stare down of the gnomish merchant. Insight on Thokk 11 and the gnome 13 but tries to think on an old saying of her grandmother's on the Firebeard side of the family. About judging things or people prematurely, about books and covers...
The forest gnome shutters a little and gulps before speaking, “v-very well.” He puts his hands up in front of himself and waves side-to-side. “You seem like busy folks, but Alparick’s Traveling Apothecary is always open for business. I’ll be here all week if you change your minds.”
[Jinx] It’s clear to Jinx that the gnome is an honest peddler. He knows his wares aren’t cheap, but he can’t just give them away; however, he’s intimidated by Thokk who has a bad reputation. Thokk could probably just take one or two potions under the premise of “paying for them later,” without any hassle from authorities.
"I do agree that we need to get to the temple. We also should search for the other Guardians."
In Dwarvish Dmitrei tells Jinx
"Thokk apologized. You simply cannot ignore him the rest of this time; we need him to help fight against the darkness."
He'll turn to the others and say
"Based on the map the Temple is due north of here while the delivery is east. According to the gnome, it would take us a day to get to the town and then a day to get back. That's a two-day delay. Healing tonics are nice but truthfully, with the right supplies, I could make some and even though it is limited I do possess some healing magic. I want to hear your opinions too. We're a team now we need to start acting like it and making decisions together. That reminds me Thokk; I'd like to talk to you in private some time soon. I think we may have gotten off on the wrong foot and I'd like us to talk it out."
Dmitrei lets out a sigh after his little speech here. He never expected to be playing peacemaker for the Guardians. He cannot help but remember a quote he heard his mentor For the Strength of The Pack is the Wolf And the Strength of The Wolf is the Pack.
