Thokk starts laughing and claps his hand on his shoulder, "Don't worry small one we mean no harm, we'll take the job, but it wouldn't hurt to throw in some more healing potions, after this journey we could give you the money."
"Thokk apologized. You simply cannot ignore him the rest of this time; we need him to help fight against the darkness."
To Snowhunter in Dwarvish:
"Not engaging with him is not the same as ignoring," Jinx replies. "My opinion will change when he does something to merit it's change," she'll add.
To Faen in Elvish:
"Nothing a good grudge match couldn't fix," Jinx replies in Elvish. "How's the map look," she adds curiously smiling at the elf.
To the group in common:
"We need to get going on the mission. We need to find this forest sage and then get to the temple! As much as I would appreciate the potion I don't think it's worth the time we'll waste. People are in danger now and we can't afford the shadows to spread," Jinx says with a serious tone.
Faen lets out a little gasp of surprise. Switching to elvish she says to Jinx.
"Oh you know elvish! How lovely! Oh but now a feel a little ashamed I didn't learn dwarvish like my father said I should, so I cant speak to you in your mother tongue as well. As for the map its simple and very easy to read. Nothing too fancy."
Inspecting the map Jinx smiles at Faen "I spent more time in books as a child than I care to recall but they did have a purpose," she replies in Elvish. "What say you? For the road to the sage and the temple or taking a detour and delay," she asks curiously.
“I do think that potions would be helpful but I also agree with Jinx. We need to start learning about and combating the shadow. We should head out to the temple tomorrow.”
Hearing what Thokk is attempting Dmitrei turns to the gnome and says
”I worked in a Leather shop before coming down here. I understand you can’t necessarily give out products on credit but what about the herbs needed to make the products. Would you be willing to part with those for a cheaper price?”
The gnome looks a little confused by the discussion and sudden language transitions. When Dmitrie asks him a question it takes him a moment to realize he's being addressed. The forest gnome says, "What was that? Oh, supplies to craft the--" he thinks a moment and begins shifting through the various thing in his cart. After a minute he sighs and looks back and says, "Afraid not." He scratches at chin through his bushy beard. "If you come across any Aloe in the northern forest, it makes for an excellent base for the potion."
Addressing the Gnome Dmitrei says simply and kindly "Thank you for that information. I appreciate it. It looks like a majority of our party agrees that it is best that we get heading to the Temple of Gridori sooner rather than later. However, if you're still in town when we return we will look for you. Perhaps, we'll have more money to buy your wares then or some time to do that delivery for you."
With a polite smile, he turns to the party
"Since, that seems to be out of the way lets start making haste to the Temple. We can probably make some distance before nightfalls. Along the way, we can discuss our skills and probably a little bit about ourselves. It's best to know these type of things if we're expected to be a team."
Dmitrei will turn to Faen lastly; having not interacted much with the skittish seeming elf will speak to her in the most soothing and non-threating voice he can create
"You have the map, and seemed quite excited to get your hands on it. Are you some kind of navigator? If so, then lead on."
"Go ahead freinds, I have some shopping I still need to do. Just 5 minutes, I'll catch up." Thokk says. Hell wait till there out of earshot and then turn to the little man and squat back down.
"Give me a potion" he says dead serious, "I'm about to go somewhere very dangerous, and I will surely pay back the coin you lost by giving me one."
The gnome gets nervous once again when he finds himself alone with the pirate Thokk. Upon demand, he hands over a single vial of red liquid with a quivering hand. The gnome says nothing and waits for Thokk to leave.
"Thank you" he says with a grin, tucking the potion into his bag. He then jogs to meet with his his group. "Sorry, I didn't have enough money for other weapons, I thought I did." He explains to them.
Dmitrei decides that during their walk to the temple he’ll be the first to speak up about himself and his skills.
”If we’re expected to work together I think it’s best that we get to know a little bit about each other and our skills. I’ll start. I am the youngest out of three brothers all who hail from the Tundra. Me, my brothers, Ma, and Pa all work and own the only leather shop in our town. My Pa and brothers normally go and hunt down the animals in the wild. Even though I have gone and done that a couple times myself.”
Dmitrei points towards his bow and arrows as he says this.
“Normally I stayed at home with Ma helping skin the animals and making the leather turning it into armor, clothing, belts, pretty much whatever we needed. If we need any repairs to some of our armor I can do a little bit to the leather parts; I’m afraid I don’t know anything about working metal.”
With a smile on his face, Dmitrei continues his little story.
“Of course there was more than my family. There was my mentor who taught me how to pull magic from the land. He taught me that the land offers you great powers as long as you respect it. That’s how I know how to make Healing Tonics. It’s just a mixture of some plants and herbs from the lands. If we come across them I can make us some Tonics. The land also gives me my magic.”
Saying that Dmitrei will demonstrate a little bit of his powers by using Druidcraft to make a couple flowers around his bloom. When he uses magic Dmitrei’s eyes glow that Icy Blue and his hand had a faint blue light around it.
“With this magic, I can do some harmless stuff around me but I have other magic that can heal, launch the fury of the Tundra at my enemies, create fog out of nothing, and even speak with animals. Of course, the land can give me other magic as well; I’ll just need to spend some time when I awake simply asking the land for it. And yes it has to be when I first wake because that is when I’m most attuned to the lands around me. So that’s my story and a little bit of what I can do. Now it’s your lots turn. What can you do?”
Dmitrei directs that last question towards the rest of the group.
"Um...well, like Dmitrei, I too am the youngest of my family. I have an older brother and two older sisters. I lived in small village where my family were lower class nobles but recently my father had found a way to elevate us to a higher status. My father always wanted his children to pursue careers in the magical arts so we were all taught by the best tutors money could buy. My brother was eventually accepted as an apprentice by one of the tutors and left to stay with them at their house. My sisters had more of a knack for the natural world and left the house often to tend to nearby gardens, rivers, and anything else in the forest. I was the only one he kept inside the house at all times. At first I thought it was because I had health problems or because I had the tendency to unnerve the other children, but honestly looking back on it now, I think maybe he was mostly just ashamed of me." Her ears droop a little, and she wraps her arms around herself in a sort of makeshift hug.
"When I was born I was determined to be too frail to manifest magic like my siblings, so my studies were eventually switched to things like cooking, speech lessons and proper etiquette training. I think...I think he decided he would rather just marry me off rather then keep waiting on what he thought was a lost cause." Her hands clench into fists.
"But I proved him wrong! Turns out all I needed was a little help, and suddenly I was able to do amazing things. Oh! I will never forget the look on his face when I marched into his office and set the bookcase ablaze." She smiles triumphantly at the others, before looking down at her hands.
"By accident of course, I was aiming for the fireplace." She adds with a nervous laugh.
"I already told Faen a little about my past. My father died before I was born, and the city abandoned my mother. She turned towards piracy to keep us alive. She rose through the ranks and ran her own fleet. I grew up with the members as my family. All good things must come to an end, the majority of them where slaughtered in an attack. Among the few survivors was my mother, and she was killed in front of me. The rest of them were hanged till death as I watched and waited for my turn on the block, but I was spared because of another man's greed." Thokk says.
“I’m sorry to hear that. In the wild no mother is killed for feeding their child. Of course a lot of things are different in the wild.”
Dmitrei opens his mouth to say something else but then stops himself. He knows that their is nothing he can say to someone who has lost everyone so close to him.
"I am also sorry for your loss," Jinx will say in a solemn tone to Thokk," but then she continues, "although your life has been hard it doesn't give you the right to mistreat others especially as we are guardians we have a higher standard to uphold than outsiders to our order," she adds firmly. "We are ALL on the same side and obviously since we've all been chosen we bring special and unique abilities to the party we are all equals regardless of what those abilities are," she adds. "I do not feel stories however are necessary to explain my worthiness to anyone. My actions will speak for themselves in battle as will yours," she says now looking to each of her party members. "I will not doubt any of your abilities until I see them. I have faith in Ximesi that we were brought together for a reason. As for my family as I said before the darkness visited my people as a sickness effecting the elders who battled the darkness before I was born. I have brothers and sisters but I will not bore you with their names as well as the many names of my extended family who live under the mountain. The most important to me is my mother who was a guardian before me as was my grandmother. All the women in my family are warriors. We protect our people, we are all seen as equal regardless of gender or rank in the clans. Among the six clans under the mountain my clan serves as council to the throne as well as healers and sages to our people. I have been taught that we must all work together to protect to provide freedom and light to all inside and outside our mountain. By the light of Ximesi I will try my best to protect and best serve our party," she finishes still moving with the party at the same pace, "but we all have to work together and from here I ask we all respect each other and see each other as equals as well as have each other's back or this quest is not going to end well," she finishes.

As they walk and talk Faen looks at the dwarf intensely. Her eyes seem to flicker to a crimson color as she whispers under her breath,
"Despite how bright you are, I think I like you short one, you burn like fire."
Her eyes flick back to green and she shakes her head to try and clear her mind, she looks to see if any of the others noticed her slip up. 'Bastion?'What was that?" She thinks.
Thokk starts laughing and claps his hand on his shoulder, "Don't worry small one we mean no harm, we'll take the job, but it wouldn't hurt to throw in some more healing potions, after this journey we could give you the money."
