"Thank you, My Lady," says Quintoc with a bow. He receives his gifts and proceeds to the door they had first entered. "Goodbye," he says with a salute to Lari and Ivellios. "Be safe." He bows to Byg'wigg and smiles. "My king."
Aurora joins Lari and Ivellios as they head back to the Inner Sanctum. She guides them back down the stairs and to the large coffin. Amethyst and Taurus are still there, Taurus currently cradling the stone woman in his arms. He bows deeply at the sight of Aurora. She puts her hand up to him.
"Rise, dear Taurus. None of that now." She down peers at Amethyst, who looks away sheepishly.
"My, they did quite a number on you didn't you, my little gem-ling. Taurus, please take her to the Healing Pools and have Virgo take a look at her. I'll be there shortly to assist." She waves the two away. Taurus nods, walking away with Amethyst peering curiously at the two of you over his shoulder as they leave.Aurora brings you two to the coffin, stepping up to the side. She bring her hand to rest of the top of the lid.
"Now, Ivellios, Lari. You two have opened yourselves to me, taken a vow to serve me, in different degrees. You have done an impressive deed in helping me in my time of need as such you have earned my trust. With my trust comes the truth of my existence. Why I am here and why I am doing what I do. Centuries ago, I was mortal. I lived during a dangerous time. When the mad tyrant still ruled the world. Magic was outlawed for the safety of the people who lived there, us with a naturally occurring magical presence went deep into hiding, so we could not be hunted and killed for our essence. My family was one of those who had to hide. My husband was human, but me and my children, we were constantly in danger. My children should have never had to live in constant fear. And I felt so helpless, a mother is meant to protect her children, but what mere mortal could compare to a god. But salvation was soon to come. A group of heroes rose up and banished the god to the deepest parts of the the Nine Hells." Her voice grows quiet.
"During the war against the tyrant God. Many were lost, my family among them. Stolen from me by the one cloaked in raven feathers. I began searching, scouring the realms for my family. I ended up here by complete accident. I never wanted godhood, but saw it fit to thrust it upon me. I came here to a decaying realm and a long dead god. It sensed my presence, it found in the remains, and seated me on the throne. It-..It..." She heaves a deep sigh.
"The first years were the hardest. I barely remember anything beyond the endless, torturous pain of my transformation. To complete it, I had to seal a piece of myself away, hidden, so if anything where to happen to me I could reform in a safe place. Only then could I begin my reign. In the end I chose something very dear to me. My treasure." She pauses, eyes sad and forlorn. She turns to look at the both of you.
"Would you like to see her? I'm asking you now because once I show you, you can never tell anyone. Only those who serve me have the honor of gazing on her, of knowing of her existence."
"If that is your wish my Lady, unlike Lari I seek no god hood. If you order me to then I shall gaze into your treasure. The realms of deities is unfit for a simple man such as myself. I only know how to hit things, I am no schemer." Ivellios speaks honestly and true he looks at Lari and doubts his loyalty and thinks to himself knowing the Lady Aurora can hear them.
"Is it wise to bring him here? He's always looked out for himself and nothing more. To ask for God hood even if it's in smaller stature the arrogance... My Lady what do you wish of me?"

She pauses, allowing both to speak. Before she lifts the top of of the coffin. The floats up into the air, weightless. Within the coffin are a collections of flowers, roses, lilies, lavender, bluebells, there are even a few familiar looking white flowers that stick out to you. it seems as though every single flower in existence has been crammed within the inside of the coffin. And there laying among the copious amounts of flora; is a small, about the size of a small child, figure wrapped in a white sheet. Aurora sits at the edge of the coffin and brings one of her hands over to softly caress the side of the tiny figure's face.
"Oh hello, my little flower, I'm sorry I haven't come to see you in so long." She says quietly. She takes a moment just sitting there, before she turns to address you two once more.
"This is my daughter, I believe you and your friends have met her before, or at least a piece of her. She is what I treasure above all else, and when you pass you will take vigil alongside the others and help protect her and this place. Without her this place would crumble, it is her dreaming self that holds this realm together for I was unfortunately was not gifted with the ability to dream. She connects all the others who inhabit this realm, together they build there own places, where they are meant to be. Until the day comes that I can retrieve her soul from who stole it from me, she remains here."
"Lari, my servants usually do not come to me until after they pass on the material plane. If you wish to join my side as you are. You will lose all connections to the material world, you will die, and your soul will come to rest here, beside the others. You will only be able travel to others during the their dreaming state. You could project yourself across realms, but it will take time to learn said ability, your first few years here will be spent healing and reforming into a more suitable state to be able to live comfortably here. I will need to collect your body and entomb you here. You will eventually have your own space, your own duties to preform and the like. And, I would have a request for you if you join us here. Will you be willing to teach our dear Urso? With his mother gone he will eventually need to take over her duties, at least til I can track down the remaining cultist and retrieve her essence from them. He seems quite fond of you, and I'm sure he'd appreciate the company. I love Aries, but he can be a bit stuffy."
To Ivellios:
"Ivellios, I speak these words to you as well. In worshiping me, you too will join us here after your end. But rest assured I will see to it that you live a full life, and that your family and future bloodline will be protected. Thank you for your concern, but this is not the first one to ask this of me. He will either rise to join us above, or he will fail and join the beast below."
Lari looks over at Ivellios before hanging his head and saying, "I was in prison awaiting the hang man's noose for a crime I didn't commit before I was brought here. The evidence is overwhelming. My enemies are many. The one who framed me, whoever it was, was thorough. I will not have enough time or the freedom to prove my innocence. I may be a trickster, a liar, even a thief, but I am no murderer. Sadly, the authorities can't see that and my life is forfeit... I can't go back." He raises his head to look directly at his new goddess. "You and Urso are the only ones who have ever looked at me and not seen scum. I will serve you."

Ivellios won't say anything and just bow to Lady Aurora turning to Lari "Well... I guess this is where we part way... I'll be seeing you friend." Ivellios expand his hand a gesture of good will. He will proceed to the exit of the chamber.
"Very well." Aurora gives you a smile, but you can see a hint of sadness in her eyes. "You are not the first to come here that has had a troubled past, I doubt you will last. You will find many allies here, dear trickster. Come say goodbye to your friend, and I will take you too meet the others. They will be overjoyed to have a new brother." With that Aurora turns back to the coffin, taking another second to hover over the body, before she gently closes it.
As Ivellios leaves, Aurora wraps one her arm around Lari's shoulders.

In the waking world; one man awakens to a worried, but relieved wife, who overcome with joy embraces him and begins weeping. Tearfully, she tells him that he has been unconscious for two days. The wedding had been postponed until they could figure out what was wrong with him. He body has suffered no negative effects, the outfit he fell in is pristine and untouched. The doctor gives him a clean bill of health and with the scare over they begin to plan the ceremony once more. Before the wedding commences, a package comes for him. A suit of armor, the chest piece emblazoned with the image of a moon and stars and a note apologizing because "time is just so different between here and there".
Another man awakens in an empty campsite, fire long burned out and cold. As he collects his his things two objects fall out of his pack; a roll up piece of parchment and a familiar amulet. As he holds the amulet in his hands, he feels eyes on him. Not filled with malicious intent, but a need to protect. The map reveals the location of a tomb about three days travel from him. As he walks through the woods, he finds no resistance from other creatures, warded off by a new traveling companion who stalks the shadows around him.
Beneath a tree a small dragon-like creature is woken up by a little friend, who compliments his new attire. It urges him forward to the large mountains in the distance, reminding him of a land waiting for its rightful king. Together, they march toward a hopefully bright future.
Finally, in a cold, dark cell within one of the prisons of the town of Whitehill, there is one man that never wakes up. By the time morning wakes up, his body cold to the touch. The guards discover this late and ask for someone to step forward and claim them. No one ever does, but by the next night it is gone; vanished without a trace. Many years later, people begin speaking of a man who visits them while they sleep, a figure dressed in a long green cloak, and who wears a smirk upon his face. He whispers to them, invites them to play a game, he has many. Only the very few who win these games remember his face and in turn talk about what he says to them. About the lady in moon who peers into dreams, and how she makes stars in the sky above, and how something hungers within the darkness between the stars.
Though their stories live on from here and their futures are unknown. This is where we will end this chapter of their lives.
I'm toying around with idea of running another campaign, one that I'm running in real life. Another homebrew. Since we don't get a chance to play it too often.
The story starts off with the characters, who are complete strangers to each other, each making their way to a coastal city known as Brookhurst, where a celebration know as The Festival of Verlichte Nacht is taking place. Each are there for their own personal reasons and they spend their first day there enjoying the festivities until something tragic happens. The characters come together in this moment, and what starts off as an attempt to help a small city ends up being a continent wide journey to uncover the truth behind a malevolent force that is threatening to destroy everything they know.
Since we're still pretty earlier in the campaign I'm attempting to build the world around them as they go.I have certain story bumps I do want them to hit but I'm gonna try and let them get there by themselves. I also had them make their characters first and then give me a reason they're traveling and using that to build the story. It takes place in the same world your characters are in, just not the dream realm. (I actually might end up using your characters as NPCs.)
