Woe looks around the room and she can see that the shop keeps the whole family busy. The kids look at her and her ears with big eyes. Woe bends down, takes out her drums and plays a strong rhythm to which the kids start stomping in the berries. She sometimes plays quicker, sometimes slower, sometimes stops and the kids have big big smiles on their faces. She explains to them that they are BIG dinosaurs, stomping around. And they love it - the berry juice splashes up to their turned up trousers and all the way into their faces...

[OOG: This is the song that my son wants to listen to 20x a day at the moment]
Toddrick is grinning ear to ear as Woe begins playing the drums for the kids. "Paela!" He calls out.
From above you can hear Paela call back down in a sing-song voice, "Busy!"
Toddrick gives the two of you another smile, looks towards the stairs and calls, "It's Singe... he's brought a girl!"
There's a thump that comes from upstairs followed by a crashing and the sounds of rapid movement. "One minute," she responds, "I'll be right down!"
Toddrick smiles again at the pair. "We had our doubts, I'll admit," he says. "What with the," he gestures at Singe's head, "hair and all. We weren't sure if you were scaring the lasses away since hair normally grows all over the body."
From behind you, you hear Tawna, the eldest of the children ask Woe, "Are you two getting married?" Her eyes are huge as she continues the stomping. You can tell she's already thinking about what she's going to wear.
Singe covers his face, and whispers to no one in particular, "I knew this would happen." Looking at the halfling man, Singe says, "Toddrick, no. No, we met today; we need your help with a scavenger hunt. It's a trial to join an adventurers' guild. One of the items is extra extra extra large undergarments; gender, race, and finery are not a concern. Also, I need help finding Alton. Let me reiterate, we just met and are probably never going to see each other after today."

Perrin, Koll, and Shanolia easily make their way through the crowd, and down the alley, leaving the scene behind them. As they hurry away, they can hear the guards arguing with a Half-Orc. As they continue along their way, Koll recognizes that they are getting close. Winding through darkened alleyways, filled with the unsavory sort of citizens, they finally find themselves standing in front of a darkened structure: the Happy Hangman. A grizzled human stands outside, leaning against the wall, arms crossed over his chest. He spots the trio, but doesn't move from his position. Instead, he looks each of you up and down with indifference. "What do you want," he asked, looking at Koll again.
"Oh, I see," Toddrick replies. "That's a shame... er... well, I mean..." He coughs and peers around to the stairs just in time for Paela to come running down.
"Lets have a look-see, shall we?" She says. She walks right past Toddrick and Singe and starts looking Woe up and down. "She'll need to wear a girdle and perhaps have something stuffed in the bust, but I think we can alter my old dress."
"Paela!" Toddrick calls. She turns just in time to see her husband wave his hands in a 'no' gesture.
Paela turns her cherubic face to Singe, flushed with excitement. "Wait... too soon?"
"They're 'friends'," Toddrick explains. "On an adventure to find undergarments," he adds.
"Well that's an odd date," she says. "Will you at least be staying for dinner, Singe?"
Singe smiles, "Um, well, we've got to meet back up with the rest of the group at dusk, and we have a few more stops to make. Thinking of which, I need to find Alton; do you where I can find him?"

“We can stop at a jewelry store once we arrive at the Upper City,” Zamar said, the idea already forming in both minds to buy a four leaf clover trinket. “Do you remember reading the paper this morning?”
”I wonder if it’s a clue, I mean, Needle is obviously in on it,” Lera nodded. “We’ll just have to keep an eye out for a bard or Barbarian.”
The father-daughter duo made their way to the Upper City, scrolls of pedigree at the ready.
Koll recognizes the man from his time with the gang more than 5 years ago. Bearwick, was his name. Obviously, Bearwick doesn't recognize the grown man standing before him; Koll was but a wiry, little 14-year-old, last time he saw him. The monk smiles at the man, but doesn't let on who he is. Along with the appropriate hand gestures, Koll recites the passcode of the Tower Wolves:
"Scent and a sound I'm lost and I'm found And I'm hungry like the wolf.
Once Lera and Zamar reach the Upper City gates, they see there is a checkpoint they will need to go through. Here, the Watch allows the Patriar in and out and there is a separate queue for those entering for business. The line isn't very long, and is moving at a fairly quick pace. Soon, you are at the front of the queue, showing your scrolls of pedigree to the Watch guardsman. He looks them over, once, twice, then finally looks up to you. "Okay, so you're nobility of some kind. But you aren't from here. What business do you have in the Upper City?"
Bearwick glowers at Koll, unsure how he would know their password. He growls acknowledgement, and waves the group in. Once inside, the group stands inside a dimly lit, smoky room, filled with members of the Tower Wolves. As the group enters, silence falls upon the room, all eyes on them. A few rough looking men stand, glaring at the intruders. A voice calls out, "Where's Bearwick? Why would he let them in here?"
Another man, not quite as rough looking, stands and waves the gang members quiet. He walks to the trio, and smiles. "I don't think you're meant to be here. You should go back out that door, before my men decide you don't deserve this courtesy."
Woe gets up from the floor and puts her drums away. She now towers a good 3' over the Halfling family. "Hi, I am Woe. Very nice to meet you, Paela and Toddrick. We can't stay for dinner tonight, but if you help us win this contest, I'll make sure Singe returns tomorrow night for dinner." She winks at Paela. "What we need are these undergarments, but also a rank insignia for a flaming fist. I was wondering, with you being a tailor, you must be repairing their uniforms all the time? Maybe you have one lying around? Doesn't need to be a high rank. A 'fist' or a 'gauntlet' would suffice!"
Woe then gives Paela the biggest smile, whistling the tune to Mendelssohn's Wedding March.....
"Extra, extra, extra large, my dear." Toddrick says.
"Ooooh, I like her Singe!" Paela rushes off to a backroom. There's rustling heard as she digs through the storage.
Toddrick shrugs his shoulders with his arms up in apology. "We didn't mean to imply anything m'lady, but m'brother-in-law here hasn't ever brought a girl by, especially one as beautiful as you. We were hoping... I suppose."
Paela comes back out with her arms full of a huge white sheet, "It'll take but a moment to tailor this up." She wiggles a hand free and puts a small Flaming Fist insignia in Woe's palm with a whisper, "Be sure to come with him, ok?" With that she rushes upstairs. "We'll have roast quail with shallots and carrots!"
"It's been a few years," Koll says to Perrin, loud enough for all to hear. "Perhaps, these rogues don't recognize me, after I spent years in a dungeon for a crime I committed while I was one of them. But I recognize you, Gora," he says, pointing to a woman with missing teeth, balancing a dagger by the point on her finger, "and you, Gliddikh," he says pointing to a man with a terrible scar across his face, with a glazed drunken look in his eyes, "and you, Flynn," he says pointing to a skinny thief who perches on his chair like an excited child. "I am Koll Druth."
As Koll announces himself, the Tower Wolves start mumbling among themselves. Some look confused, others look angry, and a few even look happy. As a few start to step forward, heavy steps are heard on the stairs, and the room freezes. "My dear brother," a voice says, as a figure descends halfway down the stairs. "Come, gents! Can't you see? It's my dear Koll, returned to the pack." Everyone sits once again, looking at one another. The tension in the room was heavy. "Let's not be rude to our guests," Loro continues, as he climbs down the rest of the stairs. Crossing the room, he stops before the group, smiling at each of you. "Welcome home, brother."
Perrin suddenly aware that he entered someone’s house without a gift will pull out another Cherry Pie and present it to Loro.
“My Ma taught me to never enter someone’s house for the first time without a gift. This is for you it’s a Cherry Pie. Made it myself. We’re hoping for your assistance in acquiring a few strange items.”
Perrin says with a smile on his face holding out the Pie for Loro.
Loro's face lit up at the sight of the pie. Glancing to the side, he quickly changed his expression back to a more neutral one. Taking the pie, he said, "Come, friends of Koll. Let's talk privately in my office." He turned, and lead the group up the stairs, and into one of the back rooms. Motioning around the room to various couches and chairs, Loro said, "Please, make yourself at home," and once you are all in, he closed the door behind. Settling himself at a table, he starts to devour the pie.
"Wonderful!" With a sparkle in his eye, he grinned at Perrin. "Cherry is my favorite." After another bite, he pushed the pie away, and covered it with the cleanest cloth he could find. "I'll save this for later." Sitting up, Loro crosses his arms across his chest, all business once again. "Well, friends of Koll, you mentioned you needed help finding strange items. First, who are you, and what are these items you need help finding?"
"Should we find Alton?" Singe asks Woe, "He might have succumb to creating coin." "Oh, ok... well, then he'd be the person to see, wouldn't he? Let's ask Paela again and see how far he is from here."
"Paela, do you know where Alton is? I haven't spoken to him since returning." Singe shouts up the stairs.
"The relevant equation is: Knowledge = power = energy = matter = mass; a good bookshop is just a genteel Black Hole that knows how to read." - Terry Pratchett
Perrin’s face lights up when he sees how much Loro enjoys the Pie.
”I’m so happy you like it. The last man I offered it too didn’t even try it. I’ll make sure to bring you one when I make a fresh batch next.”
Then all of sudden remembering why they’re actually here.
“Yes, umm I’m Perrin and the elf over there is Shanolia. We’re responding to Lord Viscardi’s new adventuring guild request. To join we have to past his test which is this scavenger hunt and we only have until morning to find all 12 items. I mean hundreds of people are applying so he has to thin them out somehow. Lord Viscardi divided us into colored teams, we are all on the red team, and handed us these lists. We, as the red team, decided to split up even further into three teams looking for 4 items each. That’s where you come in. Any info or help in getting these items would be great. We three are specifically looking for a red hair from a bald mans head, a shimmering shield, and a 1000 gp diamond. We already found the fourth item on our list a space hamster and an item from someone else’s four. So, can you help us?”
When Perrin finishes his little speech he’ll look at Loro; hopeful that he can help.
