As you might have guessed just from the title, I am looking to create a campaign based around the world of Warcraft and the journeys you make going through it. I know it seems a bit silly, but I just thought the idea of a party traipsing through Teldrasil was a fun idea. As my memory isn’t that fantastic I will be changing the names of the people to suit myself sorry >< For those of you who have played the game, you will recognise a lot of the storyline comes from the game. For those Of you who haven’t? I will be glad to introduce you to it via this game. So if anyone is interested, we will be starting as such.
You are all students who have just graduated from your respective classes here at the base of the main tree in Shadowglen. Whether you know each other or not, whether you are all elves or not, it does not matter. Your teacher, one Alganaza Hedge, has gathered you all at the base of the tree. Darnassus has called for groups, groups of people who can go out and take on the evils that they believe are taking over this land. You and your new compatriots will be sent on a trial through Shadowglen, to see if you are succesful enough to be sent to Darnassus.
You’ll be starting at level 1, because it’s the easiest. You can choose whatever race or class you like from the players hand book or unearthed arcana, really whatever you like. As for abilities, I’ll leave it up to you whether you choose to do point buy, standard array or roll 4d6 drop the lowest system to pick, however if you want to roll I’d prefer you do it on here. Post on here with your character idea, a short reason as to why you’re here in Shadowglen and being recruited to Darnassus, and a quick backstory if it’s not already tied into your reason.
One last thing!! I have dm’d before, just not on here, or as a play by post in general so you’ll have to forgive me if I get this wrong. Thank you and I hope people want to join!!!
Grimm would do just about anything for a nice cold brew at the Blue Recluse in Stormwind right now. He's been studying alongside the night elf mages for some time now, teleporting periodically to and from Darnassus to deliver notes on how the water in moon wells affect water elementals. Nothing too impressive, Grimm thinks. The night elves are good folk, hard workers and ever studious, but maybe a little too serious at times. There's just nothing like watching a brawl between a couple of gnomes and a drunken dwarf in a Stormwind tavern... Oh well, maybe when this whole research thing is over with, Grimm will be able to go back to the land where he feels most at home. For now, he'll make do with what he has here.
Amaruve watches Teldrasil looming in the distance behind the boat. He'll return home one day. Today he's sailing across the world to the dwarven lands. A perilous journey for one with so little experience.
(I'm not sure where or when you'd like to start. You've got a Feral Druid (Wood Elf Druid of the Moon) heading for Ironforge. I haven't played since Cataclysm. Back in my day, mumble mumble.)
Groana started out in to the night there was a lake between her and the starting area before she could join a group she saw one which was being slaughtered by evil monsters, There was amagron saying," Help me,". there is evil out here trying to kill us. Groana was in a behind a tree watching and then there was amastar he was trying to climb up to the tree but he couldn't do it, It just has to be this way i was safe in the starting area and group gets to go out and experience what the world is really like but for some reason i was safe here but amastar was reaching out to groana saying help me and she reached out and pulled him to safety and the evil could not get them there, Groana said," maybe amagron is alive we have get to him and bring him to this tree where the monster cannot hurt us for some reason and so she ran as fast as a night elf could to the lake and swam across to get amagron and dragged him back to the tree where he continued to heal from the wounds of the evil monster, and later she learned to be a druid after discovering her connection with nature that was linked to that tree that had helped a group of adventurers.
Bin’rog Racedu, a young Draenei steps out of the portal from underneath the tree in Shadowglen, his armor shimmers in the light as his eyes adjust to his surroundings. “Finally, praise the light, I’ve made it! The real training can now begin!” He slams his hands together in excitement. A stoic night elf is standing at attention next to the tree. “Excuse me sir, I’m looking for Alganaza Hedge.” Bin looks around while he asks the question. “Ah yes, they are expecting you. Right this way sir.”
(I’ll be playing a Dragonborn Paladin, but for flavor purposes he is actually a Draenei.)
A nervous-looking gnome in a dark cloak covered in crimson arcane symbols, and carrying a strange sort of crossbow, with added mechanical parts. "I'm a demonslayer by trade, they call me Twitch"
OOC: She's a gnome Bloodhunter/tinkerer. Imagine a crossover of Dr Van Helsing, Dr Frankenstein, and the Count of Monte Christo, but standing at no more than four feet tall.

This already seems like a great group. Not that I’m against having two druids in the party, but if one of you wants to change to something other then a Druid let me know? I think five is going to be my limit, and I’ll start sending out messages now. If we have anyone who backs out I’ll open this back up to recruiting
((I can’t figure out how to do a large group post so I’ll just start posting on here to start.))
You find yourself and your companions, whether the five of you know each other or not, all of varying sizes and races, standing at the bottom of tree. Alganaza Hedge, an old wood elf who whose hair is long and dark stands in front of you, grinning at you all in a way you have not seen the elves of Teldrassil grin since the moment you stepped foot on this tree stump in the middle of the ocean.
“So. You’re the lot I’ve got to determine whether you’re good enough to go off and help save the world, huh? Well good luck. I’m not an easy teacher.”
((make a short post telling the others what you look like and introducing yourselves each to Alganaza pretty please!!))
hello, I'm a loyal servant to the druid's after following the advice of going on a adventure, I assume it came from you nice to meet you alganaza if you look upon the scene to your surview, You see Groana a high elf druid with pretty tattered looking leather armor and a scimitar which is more for basic attacks than for druidic might, But that is to be expected at this starting point where the beginning groups are gathered for adventuring into the world to find there places, Groana nods to alganaza and the others and says " I hope in the meantime before our next quest we can find a way to take advantage of our newness by banding together and taking on some challenges that are bigger than our britches".
Twitch steps forward, casting quick short glances about her, clearly uneasy at this many new faces around her. At just over four feet tall she is not what you would call imposing, but the many scars covering her face, neck, and ungloved hand, might make anyone wonder before jumping to quick conclusions. "Well met Groana. My name is Twitch, unfortunately without a surname, as we are still a people without a home." You see her give a quick glance onto what you now realise is a metal and clockwork mechanical prosthetic, where her right arm should be. "I'm not used to working in bigger groups, the life of a demonslayer tends to be rather solitary. Plus, with the Ambassador here", she taps the mechanical hand-crossbow at her side "I'm not truly alone." You get the sense that she might mean this a bit more literally than you're comfortable with.
Overall, Twitch stands before you in worn and patched traveller's clothes, with a flowing longcoat, covered with crimson arcane symbols on the inside. She wears a leather vest, and a belt with several pouches and a quiver of crossbow bolts on her left hip. Her trousers are made of sturdy fabric and are tucked into her knee-length leather boots. Around her throat, and covering up some of the scars, is tied a red handkerchief, giving a spot of colour in her otherwise rather monochrome outfit. She is not currently wearing her wide-brimmed hat, which dangles off her shoulders by a cord around her neck. Her hair is a full chestnut colour, and shorn on the side, but leaving enough for a short ponytail off the top. Her eyes are a piercing, almost unnatural green. She has several scars crisscrossing her face, with a particularly long one covering much of her left cheekbone. Her skin is darker than that of most gnomes you might know, verging on a dark caramel, against which the light scars stand out particularly well.
OOC: She is a bloodhunter, with a mechanical arm and crossbow that I homebrewed and got approved by Tangolove. I plan on having her follow the Order of the Mutant. Again, think crossover between Dr Frankenstein and Dr Van Helsing, in a four foot sized package.

‘What fellfire pit did you crawl out of?’ Grimm thinks to himself glancing at the gnome called Twitch. He shrugs, plenty of questions for that one later. He looks to the elf, “Grimm.” He says, flashing a confident smile. “Of the Kirin Tor. Apprentice to Lorekeeper Han’al. Currently, I’m under the guidance of Kat Sunflower researching the local moon wells.” The young mage rests his hands behind his head. “She thought this training exercise would be good for me. Not sure what it all will entail, but I think we can handle it.”
Grimm wears plain navy colored robes and a matching floppy hat. His hair is clay brown and a finely trimmed beard covers his face. Beneath his robe is a royal purple tabard with a golden eye inlaid on the material, the sigil of his mage guild. There’s a particularly large tome hanging at his side, a leather strap slung over his shoulder to hold it in place. He keeps a dagger tucked into his boot, for those just in case moments.
Bin steps forward confidently, is hooves clopping loudly. "I would hope you were no easy teacher! If I wanted easy I would have stayed home!" he lets out a hearty chuckle. He his wearing a heavy set of armor that glistens in the sunlight, if you stare into it you can clearly see your reflection. It is trimmed in an ornate gold. It almost seems decorative, and clearly hasn't seen many battles. He has pale blue skin, and hair that is stark white, and eyes that resemble two chunks of onyx. He glances around and eyes a curious looking gnome. "Well met gnome, the name is Bin'rog, but please, call me Bin. The Light has brought us all here together, hopefully we will succeed in our endeavors." He then notices the elf to his side, "Well met! You need not worry about anything, the Light will guide us, and protect us as we venture forth together!" He throws his arm around the druid's shoulders and squeezes tight. "I mean, what's the worst that could happen?"
Alganaza grinned at the lot of them. “What’s the worse that can happen indeed...” he looked at each of you, pacing a little as he watched the group in front of him. “Well. Let’s get a feel of what you all can do. There’s a small pack of wolves that have been getting a little... aggravated of late. We’re not sure why. The five of you are to track them and find out what’s going on.” He grinned at them while holding out his hands. “Feel free to use the rooms in our tree to sleep here if you need to! I shall be around if you have any question. There are no time restraints. But I will be judging on how long it takes. Any questions?”
Amaruve watches quietly from the branches nearby. He steps forward with a careful gait. He has a slightly hunched posture, as though he might be ready to move as a beast on four legs. Were he to stand straight he may just be over 6 feet tall, short for a night elf. He nods quietly to the gathering party.
He wears a grey wolf pelt over his shoulders. His hair has a dark green hue and is pulled back to keep out of his eyes which are yellow but dark. He carries a small shield and a crude but effective spear.
"Please, begin." His voice is gravely you'd guess it may get little use.
