Kolose yelps at seeing the wall suddenly come to life, or what feels like it- And after taking a few cautious steps back(assuming he isn't in attack of opportunity range), quickly tries to use earthen grasp to restrain it.

(Strength save, DC14. If it hits, it's restrained and takes 9 damage)

(That means it avoids the attack, but the spell stays for up to a minute to allow me to try again.)

As the earthen hand grasps at the creature, it shrugs it off, the hand crumbling into dust before reforming nearby.

Jimjar hurries up to just in front of Kolose, letting loose a bolt.

Nothing has presented itself to Stena to put arrows in, and the last of her companions have moved into the dimly lit interior of the cave.

Stena does one last check of the area and then follows the rest into the revealing light, holding an attack for a spider or not rock rat.

Stena makes it to the mouth of the cave, where she can see Galingal going toe to ... pebble?... with a stalagmite with a mouth and waving pseudopods. She has a shot, but it'd mean threading an arrow past Petmailer, Kolose, Jimjar and Galingal to hit her mark.

It is definitely NOT a rat, whatever it is.

Stena, obviously, takes the shot. Jimjar should be okay being so short.

Stena's arrow arcs over Jimjar's head, past Kolose's ear, between the bow and string of Petmailer's longbow, and under the armpit of Galingal to sink deep into the creature. It shudders and gives slobbery squawk, part of it shifting to a fur-like appearance, while another part looks more like a wooden chest before reforming as Lia taunts it further.

"Seriously, worst rat I've seen, and I dated Chad!"

WIS Save: 15

It seems to ignore her, as it lunges for Galingal, seemingly intent on the elf who stabbed it repeatedly, attempting to grab him and drag him towards the big, slobbery mouth.

Pseudopod Attack: 17 Damage: 6

Pseudopod Attack: 9 Damage: 4

The first pseudopod grabs hold of Galingal, giving the second better purchase. (Adv on 2nd: 7)

As it grabs him, it pulls him in to gnaw on the elf.

Bite Attack: 19 Damage: 5 piercing + 4 acid

The second pseudopod still misses, flailing about and sticking to the tunnel floor, but the first draws Galingal in, the teeth chomping on him as it drools eagerly.

Neth sends a crackling bolt at the creature, fortunately Galingal is on the far side.

Attack: 12 Damage: 15

The creature partially shifts again, it is in very bad shape, seemingly struggling to keep its form.

Kolose tries to get his hand to grab and crush the creature again.

Galingal, brought in so close, reaches out with a free hand to touch the creature, though all the blood oozing down his shoulder is making it hard to concentrate.

(Assuming a 10 misses but if it does hit, Galingal is casting Inflict Wounds for 14 necrotic damage).

The creature struggles to try to remain free of the grasping hand and enjoy it's emo elf snack in peace.

STR: 10

It's efforts aren't enough as it gets throttled by a dust fist, the stalagmite loosing form as it bulges through the fingers like bread dough, flashing between various forms and structures as Galingal falls from its grasp to the floor. With a final clench, the creature shudders and is still, its form turning amorphous and gooey, still clinging to Galingal like strings of gluey snot.

((Galingal can have kept the spell slot, as Kolose popped it before he made the attempt to slap a hand on it. Holding that action for anything?))

With the creature dying around him, Galingal gets up and looks back towards the entrance of the tunnel, ready with the javelin he scavenged, just in case something follows the others inside.

Galingal sees Stena by the entrance, bow still raised from the shot she took.

Petmailer tilts his head and looks toward Lia, saying, “Chad?”  He turns with his longbow, searching for a target.  He goes further inside, turning after moving in, readying a long bow shot at any spider or foul creature that tries to enter the cave after them.
