"Well that is another question I don't have to ask, I guess and if you don't mind I have a friend I would like to return as well." Aerlian focuses, clearly channeling his energy, he mutters a few words and makes a few subtle passes with his hand, almost immediately there is a rustle in a nearby bush and a small brown weasel pops out of the undergrowth and makes for the wagon. Leaning his staff out towards the creature Aerlian watches it run up the wood and straight onto his shoulder, where it sits contentedly.
"This is Whyther, he has been a good friend to me for some time now, and can be a useful fellow too".
"I guess I had supposed that you wouldn't tell us about the trials, or not much anyway. Whatever information you want to pass on would be welcome though!"
"Yes!"Lisalyth explains after her brief amazement at the familiars - and face-making at the weasel who she finds utterly adorable - "If you have any intelligence on the trials at all, I sure would love to be prepared. I'm definitely a studying sort of elf."
"The trials measure your resourcefulness and abilities to solve problems with magic but as covertly as possible in some of the scenarios. Yes it's certainly has a chance for intelligence to shine as well as your abilities with magic without restrictions," Henwyn explains. "You will be measured at first as a group selected with other applicants and they by yourselves if it proves you work well with your fellow conjurers," she adds as Divis nods along.
"We met our trails together," Divis replies with a smirk. "I am certainly alive because of this one," he adds next as Henwyn sighs.
"You've saved me plenty of times since friend," Henwyn retorts nudging the halfling as he continues to drive the wagon. "I'm afraid I can't get too much in detail but if you have any other questions I'll do my best to answer what I can," she says giving the party a reassuring smile.

Lisalyth squeals with glee as the small weasel scampers over to her, and she busies herself with petting it as Henwyn and Divis describe the trials. "That's amazing! I've never taken a test before, but I have read about them. I think I'd be good at them! And I think I quite like both of my other new friends - Aerlian, Kiera - don't you think we'd pass with flying colours? I think we would be amazing."
Kiera is enjoying the ride and conversation. She can’t believe how beautiful and cuddly the animals are. She wishes she had one. She closes her eyes and tries to think if she could have one what would it be.
She listens to Henwyn talk about the tests and she hopes she does well. She loves puzzles and mysteries but the steaks have never been this high before. She hopes she can handle the pressure and show all how much she lives magic.

Aerlian goes very still, a wind that wasn't there before seems to ruffle his hair and his eyes glaze over for a second, he seems to be seeing something.
Whyther comes back to him, running over his arm and back up onto his shoulder, as quickly as it starts it finishes, Aerlian blinks and is back to normal.

Divis urges the horses a little firmer as a fork appears ahead of the party, one sign is for Triskele the other just a carving of waves.
"I think about another four hours before dusk," Henwyn calls out her tone jovial, a normal tenor. "So tell me about yourselves," she asks sending Blix off her shoulder into the air.
Divis glances at the waves but he steers the horses towards Triskele a steadier pace than before.
"Are you sure everything is ok? Seems like the mood changed for a bit there, was it me or did it get colder for a little while near the fork?"
Aerlian looks out from the wagon towards where the road parted, keeping an eye out as they go.
"What do you want to know, I thought you'd have found out about me beforehand, I guess you checked us all out to make sure we aren't Lawbringer agents. I'm not sure where to start anyway, my family have practised wizardry for generations, obviously in secret in more recent times. My own talents like in divinations, reading minds, and similar skills, not exactly the sort of thing that makes you many friends.. Not many folk like people around them who can see their hidden thoughts, and even when you wouldn't do it they assume you are."
He shakes his head, the bitterness coming through in his voice before he trails off and resumes his vigil out of the wagon, absentmindedly tickling Whyther under the chin.

"It's always gets colder nearer the water," Henwyn answers.

"Er, unfortunately not, er... They sort of didn't tell me we were capable and kept me locked away so I wouldn't discover it, but... Water under the bridge! Hey, Henwyn, Divis--"She looks back once more, biting her lip, "Should we be concerned that we are most definitely, one hundred percent, for sure, absolutely are being followed?"
"They've been tailing us since we came from Triskele," Divis begins but Henwyn hushes him.
"Well let's just say Legerdemain recruits from all areas of magic and although few make it there's other covens that are interested in you too," Henwyn explains. "Some I'm sure you've heard of that are decent enough but some are shall we say are....less discernable from those we fight," she adds casting a weary glance behind the wagon. Roll history checks for names and backgrounds of the other covens.
Aerlian your family was far too concern with you 'falling into the wrong crowd' because of your gifts making you an outsider even among your people that they shielded you for most of the information about the covens. There are four widely known covens you know and hundreds of smaller city and village based covens centered around forgotten gods/goddesses as well as central schools of magicks like illusion, transmutation, necromancy etc... Some good and some bad; some extremely terrible and is the reason Legerdemain came into being a thousand years ago during the Fracturing of the Weave where different covens rose into power battling openly and destroying major cities like Caorthann and Sul Na Mara. The war ending with the clerics on top the four sister's uniting with their faithful which birthed Talamh as it is today. This is why it's so widely accepted with controls on magicks and the clergy of the four sister goddesses devout being the 'solely legal and recognized' wielders of power. That is all you know. Which you basically share with the group as you seen everyone becoming a little more tense.

Kiera once again relaxes against the wagon and turns her head towards Hen and Divis. “Well my parents are very supportive of my magic. They have always encouraged me in my pursuit of magic. They are very loving no and friendly people. They own the local pub and everyone just loves them. When o heard about this my mom helped me pack. I can’t wait to see what’s next.” She said with a cheery smile.

The late afternoon passes without incident. Some of you share past magical incidents of comedy as well as harrowing experiences until Divis leaves the road at dusk.
"This seems as good as any," Hen replies as Divis steers the wagon off the road towards a break in the forest, now thick all around the sides of the road, where it seems you will spend the night.
Unhitching the horses with the help of Henwyn who tells the party to unload and settle in for the night, Divis seems to have a way with the beasts as Henwyn seems a little uncomfortable but ever helpful to her companion in the halfling.
