"You seem awfully defensive, which would lead me to believe that you were an accomplice in this brutal murder. I can't deny that I am in fear of my life right now, but I ask you this: are you willing enough to protect a murderer to publicly kill an innocent man seeking justice for the victim? Are you truly ready to end up on the run yourself?"
Banjo Man casts Mage Armor and False Life on himself. Banjo Man holds no weapons in his hands.
Seeing the spells get cast one after the other, Marmaduke sucked in a deep breathe, and calmly sets her gathered goods on a nearby rack. When next she turns back to Banjo Man, the slit sclera has yet to go away, but the general air of hostility has dimmed ever so slightly. "First you badger me over a concern I won't NO part in, and then you insult my honor not once, but twice.... I've already warned you once, Bounty Hunter. There won't be a third. Shove your asinine questions right up your Underdark, and take your petty accusations elsewhere." She growls out.

" All I need to know is where I can find this man. Also, as a footnote, I am not a bounty hunter; I am now a private detective. I have a lot of side hobbies besides my job at the Greycastle lounge. Also, while I do admit my accusations are petty, you seem very defensive over a matter you have no concern for. Yet again, as another footnote, you most likely aren't an accomplice in the murder anyways. You don't strike me as the murdering sort."
"To be honest, I'm no expert on this so I don't think I understand it enough to be able to explain it well. I generally accept it for what it is and not question it too much." Eldin notices Grianne's discomfort and says, "Hey, you alright? Let's talk about or do something else. What do you want to do?"
Marmaduke keeps clenching and unclenching her fist at her sides the more Banjo man talked, summoning and dismissing both arcane and purely electrical sparks with each motion. "Tell that to hammerduke clan..."She mumbles under breath, and then aloud goes on to say, "Look. I just.... don't like being reminded of my previous occupation. Now I was in the middle of an A and B conversation, so if you would kindly C your way out of it?" She asks, giving lich(?) a meaningful glare.

"To respond to your (I admit, rather clever) wordplay of letters with four letters and a number of my own: C, U, L, 8, R. At the Greycastle Lounge, to be exact. I feel you may have knowledge pertaining to the case. Anyway, skidaddle, skidoodle, I'm out of here."
Banjo Man leaves and returns to his abandoned broom closet office.
Liam the Weak: Level 4 Human Fighter - Trying to fight against his other personality, and constantly losing.
Aodh: Level 20 Half-Elf Cleric of Life - Not really. It's a strange being that had possessed and broke down a level 20 Cleric of Life Domain, gaining his knowledge and power.
"*****": Level 1 Tiefling Sorcerer - Her family is dead, and her will is broken. She follows orders so that those that command her will allow her to die.
The odd wiry old shop keeper at the arcane supply gives Liam a meaningful glare and taps his glass eye with a long gnarled fingernail. *tap tap* he's watching you...
"Don't bet on it." Marmaduke mutters darkly under-breath as she turns back to Liam. "I-I'm sorry. I d-di-didn't mean for you to see -- I-it's not as if!" Catching herself mid-raised voice, she quickly deflates into herself. "I...I-I'm just gonna -- N-nice talking to you, an-and good luck in your next match!" With that, she stiffly goes to pick up 50gp worth of scroll scribing material and briskly makes her way to the counter. All the while pointedly avoiding looking in Liam's direction.
